    2005 Ford Freestyle - SEL (120A) FWD

    Pros: Space and gas mileage

Cons: Getting use to sound of CVT

Advice: Upgrade as many interior features as you can

I have owned my Freestyle for three months, which included a cross country trip with wife and two kids and plenty of gear. The ride and gas mileage {28.5} was great and all of the space ie, leg room, head room, cargo room was outstanding. The handling of the Freestyle is great and the exceptional smooth ride for this large of vehicle is a real bonus. In regards to power, when I need to pass on the highway, it has enough to get the job done comfortably. I do not have a need to tow anything, so I can not speak to that issue. The ability to fold down all seats for hauling large items is a plus. The upgraded interior: leather seats, moonroof, in dash six disc cd changer, are all nice!

    2005 Ford Freestyle - SEL (120A) FWD

    Pros: Handling and space

Cons: Glare of dashboard in windshield at times

    Advice: Buy it.

I was hesitant on purchasing the Freestyle since it was a new model. I have two children and wanted a car that is reliable, could fit them plus their friends and have space for cargo. This fit the description. It has everything I want in a family car plus more. I read other reviews stating it did not have enough power, when reading these it was a deturent but after driving it for myself I found it had no problem with power, as stated by others this is not a sports car its a family car. I've been driving the Freestyle for a month now and absoluetly love it. My friends love it and are considering one for themself. I highly recommend this car and especially to those with little ones.

    2005 Ford Freestyle - Limited (160A) AWD

Pros: Ease of getting in and out

    Cons: Nothing

    Advice: Take the plunge!

We just returned from a roadtrip with five of us to Yellowstone National Park. The Freestyle is the perfect road trip car! We were able to comfortably fit the five of us, our luggage, and a cooler. It is very easy to get in and out of, has lots of storage space, and handles great. It is a real pleasure to drive and corners like it is on rails. We looked at a Honda Pilot, Subaru Outback and Toyota Highlander and the Freestyle won out. This car is a winner!

    2005 Ford Freestyle - SEL (120A) FWD

Pros: Ease in handling, interior space.

    Cons: highway noise

Advice: Read all other owner comments to see how they feel after owning a Freestyle for awhile.

Having driven an F-150 Lariat Crew Cab for 3 years, I could not believe the smooth ride and easily handling. The interior is roomy (although the color is not black lab friendly). The seats fold down with ease. I do wish the 3rd row windows opened. I also don't think it as quiet as most fords I have owned, seem to be a lot of highway noise that I am not used to. Gas milage is better than expected. As much as 30 mpg on highway at ave. of 70 mph. HOWEVER, after 4,000 miles I have had an acceleration problem a few times. After long trip, with the air on, I have noticed a hesitation at stop lights and off ramps. It is a bit worrisome, dealer said they checked Ford hot-line and I seem to be the only one having this problem. Advice, continue to drive it as see if it continues!

    2005 Ford Freestyle - Limited (130A) FWD

    Pros: Height/positionng of driver seat

Cons: 'Cheapness' look and feel inside

Advice: Drive it for a while

We liked this vehicle, but thought Ford could have spent a few hundred more to make it look 'nicer' for the cost of it to start with. Looks cheap and plasticy in side... Rode well, seemed to be able to get out of its own way, and the seats were comfotrable and driver visability was good.

    2005 Ford Freestyle - SE (110A) FWD

Pros: The handling and fuel mileage.

Cons: The engine compartment needs more sound insulation

Advice: Plan on keeping this vehicle for quite awhile.

I own this car. This is a keeper! Everything you want in this car it has. I love the gas mileage. We get around 22 MPH around town. The car has lots of power and great gas mileage. I feel like I found a well kept secret, a goldmine. The ride is comfortable and it handles well. The interior is roomy. I feel like I have a Volvo XC90 for under $27,000. I am real happy I didn't have to buy a Subaru Outback. I am proud to own a domestic nameplate. Congratulations Ford! You hit a homerun in my books. Thank You!
