Pros: the way it handles around corners. so smooth. i have never driven a car that took corners so well. especially if you are getting off the highway. its great!
Cons: the fact that i dont have a bigger engine. but i soon will!
Advice: test drive all the different models. theyre all nice but it depends on what you want for an engine or look.i love this car. my dad has a 2002 i have a 1999 now and i am going to buy a 2003 r/t when they come out. you get so much car for your buck. they look nice, handle awesome and the stock cd player is so sweet considering its stock. people ask me if i put extra stuff into my radio which i didnt.
Cons: Noisy ride
Advice: 6 cyl/leather worth consideringFun car to drive. Half way between spunky and true sports car. I have all options except anti-lock brakes and cassette. CD player jammed twice, dealer replaced and no problems since. I love it! My wife wants one exactly like mine. (I'm trying to talk her into an Eclipse). There is limited sight out back window and access in & out of car is affected by seats being low. Sunroof, stereo and 200 hp are the high points. Also love sound from exhaust.
Pros: Looks, Style, and Sportyess.
Cons: Leg Room / w foot rest in the way.
Advice: Make sure to get the 3.5 v6I had a 96 Intrepid and put 155k miles on it, traded it in for a new Intrepid as they are great cars. The are very atractive looking, there are only two things I can really falt them for. The raido, even the upgraded raido and cd player/speaker combination bites. Take it somewhere and get a custom system put in. And the door if your a tall or larger person your knee pushes aginst the door and its not padded like the old door so it can be a little uncomfortable. It was not a problem in the old model as it did not have the intergrated foot rest. But all in all its a wonderfully fun car to dive, sporty, sharp and if taken care of will take you many many miles.
Pros: Great stereo (120 watt CD and Cassette)
Cons: glove box a little chincy
Advice: get the 6cylQuick car, rides nice, very comfortable, Shifts smoothly. On hilly roads consider leaving it in 3rd (auto trans) performs better and a lot less shifting. Stereo is the best I ever had.
Cons: road noise
Advice: If noise doesn't bother you then it is a great carI own one. It has awsome power but there is alot of road noise. Plus there is a ticking sound everytime I hit a bumb and all the dealerships say they don't hear it.
Pros: LEATHER INTERIOR W/ROOM TO SPARE
Cons: WINDOWS NOT TINTED DARK ENOUGH
Advice: DONT GET SATIN PEARL WHITE -THATS MY COLORI CANT GET OVER THE SMOOTHNESS OF HIGHWAY CRUSING.THE CAR WANTS TO GET UP AND MOVE FROM 60 MPH/TO 80.EVEN BETTER NO RESTRICTOR MINES BEEN UP TO 130-MPH AND STILL CLIMBING,WITH GOOD HANDLING AND BRAKING W/4-W.D.B.ITS QUIET INSIDE,CORNERS VERY NICELY.REALLY SPORTY WITH PLENTY OF COMFEY ROOM IN BACK SEAT. ALSO BIG TRUNK AREA.I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT.
