    2004 Dodge Ram 1500 - SLT/Laramie 4x2 Quad Cab Short Box

    Pros: Looks

    Cons: Service

Advice: Would not suggest this product.

The truck is one problem after another it has only 39000 miles uses lots of oil. It had the tierod ends and the sway bar links replaced at 20000 miles chrysler refuised to set the towin saying it was part of a frontend allinment that was not covered under the warranty. well to replace two tie rods and do it right you must set the towin. I have owned several new Chrysler products over the past 40 years THIS IS THE LAST.

    2010 Dodge Ram 1500 - Laramie 4x4 Crew Cab

Pros: The hemi motor justs makes this truck run great!

Cons: Paying for all the toys.

Advice: You have to test drive this vehicle to believe it. Make sure you compare it with others and I think you will be pleased with this pickup

What a great pickup!!! Smooth and powerful hemi engine, quiet cab, good brakes, dual exhaust from factory, great ride. If you drive this vehicle you'll be hooked. The options are almost limitless and it all fits together in a very sharp looking and great driving vehicle. Dodge did an outstanding job on this generation of pickups.

    2007 Dodge Ram 1500 - Laramie 4x4 Mega Cab

Pros: The new dual exhaust from Flow master..and drivetrain. Very smooth

Cons: Plastic covers on the crome 20' wheels

Advice: Buy it, you'll love it!

What a great truck! I have a 2007 1500 quad cab 4X4 Laramie. I am liking it more each and every day. I put on 900 miles in 5 days and can feel the power diffence as it is breaking in. Truck handles like a sports car, pretty fast for a truck. The ride is very comfortable. Any regrets?? Nope! Fit and finish is great. Good job by Dodge. Mileage avg. is 14.5 mix use, Hwy 16.8 so far. This is an honest review and est. MPG I left a 2004 Dodge 2500 4X4 CTD because I did not put too many miles on per year. Fuel is almost 40-50 cents higher and the cummins option is 6000.00 add on. I can buy a ton of fuel for the diffence. I did like my truck other than that.

2007 Dodge Ram 1500 - ST 4x2 Regular Cab Short Box

    Pros: the price/truck

Cons: if i had to say something it would be a little noise from the trans.

Advice: check out the hemi and then try the 4.7 see what you prefer.

this truck drives so easy. we got the standard trans with the 4.7 engine.did not like the hemi for gas milage reasons and it's sluggish on the take offs, but get it going and watch out but it also eat's the gas.the 4.7 has great power and is much lighter one the gas and it sound nice.i have drove both the 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive both have great ride and are fun to drive.get what you want and enjoy your new truck.

    2006 Dodge Ram 1500 - SRT-10 4x2 Quad Cab Short Box

Pros: Of course the 500 HP Viper engine!

Cons: Big time gas hog but hey, play you pay!

Advice: Have a second vehicle handy as this is sure to become a classic someday.

I bought a 2006 QC SRT-10 (black) but did test drive a 2005 model awhile back. Very impressed with this truck. Traded in an '03 Hemi QC. Was most dismayed about the infamous 'tick' which seemed to not be going away and getting louder. Dropping valves and engines blowing up even as the owners say they used high quality synthetic oils and babied them otherwise. Reading reports in the larger forums about these engines questionable long term durability issues, even the constant check engine light. Yup, me too. Anyway the power of this beast is absolutely outstanding. Also own an '02 Corvette Z06 but for a truck this thing is just awesome. Have more than my fair share of track days under my belt so I'm gonna give you the unvarnished truth. If you purchase this truck beware of gas mileage. Tank in the QC version holds 34 gallons. With gas someday to approach 4 or even 5 dollars a gallon, this ain't no economy car. It is an automotive enthusiasts machine and will suck your gas budget dry and then some. Some people say they use it as a daily driver, but for me it is strictly a pleasure craft. In my line of work I use my '01 Ford Focus Wagon SE with the 2.0L Zetec engine. The ride in the SRT-10 is a little choppy (something to be expected in a sporty truck like this) and the hydroformed frame is a major step up from the '03 Hemi. Noticably stiffer and inspires confidence on the road and in the corners. The Bilstein shocks are also instrumental in keeping the suspension planted and under control. I love the new headlamps and are a major improvement from the scalloped ones.
