2002 Dodge Grand Caravan - SE FWD

    Pros: All wheel drive availability

Cons: Poor quality overall. I would have not bought it but it's the only one available in All Wheel Drive.

Advice: Get an extended warranty. It will be worth it. Sell it when the warranty is over.

I bought a 1999 Grand Caravan SE AWD and I was not happy with it. I am glad I purchased a 5 year/60,000 mile warranty. Prior to the expiration of the basic warranty, the power steering was replaced, the vinyl seats cracked and was, the serpentine belt squeeks after 30,000 miles and makes the engine noisy at all times. At around 45,000 miles, the transmission broke down. The good features of this van attracted me to buy it especially the all wheel drive option, but I think the quality was poor overall.

2002 Dodge Grand Caravan - Sport AWD

    Pros: Double sliding side doors

Cons: This is a tough one as I really had to find something. THe Mirror adjustment is on the dash

    Advice: Bring your check book

This is my third Minivan. Number 1 was a 1987 Dodge Mini Ramvan. Number 2 is still in service 1991 Plymouth Voyager 143,800 mi.. I think Dodge has listened to the public. Many items, like the seat belt adjustment, show they are listening.

2002 Dodge Grand Caravan - EX FWD

    Pros: Handling.

    Cons: Damned if I know.

    Advice: Buy it.

I had already driven as a passenger in the previous year's incarnation and loved it.

Advice: Get the eX, it is a deal

Handles good and has plenty of power. Roomy inside with smooth and quiet ride.

2002 Dodge Grand Caravan - eL FWD

Pros: The easy in and out seats

Cons: I put in thicker floor mats and the drawer under the passenger seat won't open with the mat in place.

Advice: Dodge and Chrysler are virtually identical; go with the best deal you can get.

This is my third Dodge/Plymouth mini-van. It is the best van I could find in terms of maximum cargo space and family comfort. The rear bed is relatively flat for cargo and the seats are easily removeable for more space. The individual seats are much easier to remove and replace than the bench seats in my '98 Grand Caravan.

2002 Dodge Grand Caravan - EX FWD

Pros: automatic doors-both sliding and rear hatch

    Cons: nothing

Advice: They don't deal as well on the EX, but you get more features for the price.

I had a 97 Grand Caravan Sport and traded it for a Suburban. We thought we wanted an SUV. I missed my van. I just bought a new EX in stone white. It is beautiful. Many new features than my 97. I'll never let go of my mini van again. My boys are 3 and 18 mos. and this is the best vehicle for kids!
