    2002 Chrysler Concorde - LXi

Pros: Performance, styling, climate control, steering wheel radio control.

Cons: Lack of adjustable steering wheel.

Advice: Go for the LXi over the LX . The extra performance & luxury are worth the money.

In this day of rising car costs, I was extremely impressed with the price of the LXi when compared to other makes/models. You get a lot more for your money. Style, comfort and quality at a comparatively reasonable price. Lack of an adjustable steering wheel is the only thing that keeps driver comfort from being perfect. Visibility has been sacrificed for styling but with a bit of driving this is easily adapted to.

2002 Chrysler Sebring - LXi Sedan

    Pros: Body Style

    Cons: Air conditioning

Advice: Be sure to have some music handy to listen to in order to drown out the engine noise.

There is a high Pitch whining while motor is running. This gets increasingly worse upon acceleration.

2002 Chrysler Sebring - LXi Coupe

Pros: Styling is the best followed by engine performance.

Cons: Vision to rear from outside mirrors. Driving in traffic is tricky.

Advice: Make a long test drive to make sure you and the car fit each other.

Very good engine performance. Difficult to get into driver's seat with it in top position but comfortable when seated. Very steady when driving on highway. Suspension is not too tight but holds on turns if you don't mind leaning. A/C appears weak for hot-humid locations. Controls all accessible with Japanese perchance for having one control do several things depending on what other settings are. Steering wheel cuts off seeing turning signals. Trunk volumn is good though high lid sill hinders entry. Braking OK but better with ABS which seems difficult to find on dealer lots. Styling is great - a primary reason for buying it. Make a long test drive to make sure you fit it.

2002 Chrysler Sebring - LXi Coupe

    Pros: Styling and performance

Cons: Tight squeeze while getting into and out of back seat

Advice: Don't be surprised at its all-around quality

An excellent value in my estimation. Compared cars priced at $10,000 more - the Sebring LXI 3.0 liter coupe (loaded) beat them all. Superb styling, very sound with a 'BMW-like' feel (I know because I drove one for five years). Superior in the snow (even without studs or snow tires). Remarkably quick. Access to back seat is a squeeze...but then, the back seat is hardly used. Leg room, once back there, is bearable.
