Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Cons: radioMy wife scoffs when I say that it is actually practical. This car has great performance (except on snow), is great looking, has been trouble-free and has a surprisingly large trunk.
Pros: Very comfortable ride and easy conversation with the top down.
Cons: You mean there is something not to like?
Advice: Compare and try before you buy something else.We own a 2008 conv, Z-51, dual tone exhaust, 6sp AT with less that 1,000 miles. This is our 2d new conv, 5th overall and not only is it the best Vette yet, but I would not accept any other sports car at any price. On our first trip to Palms Spring, Ca from Las Vegas, Nv we averaged 30 MPG at 55-80 MPH!!! Try that in your Lambo or Prancing Horse!!! And we carried enough luggage for 2 with the top down.
Pros: touch screen nav, push button start, telescoping wheel, hud display ... so many things i love about this car
Cons: seasonal car
Advice: if you like being noticed, have untouchable accelration, and rocking an americian icon get it, if your a little older or dont want a heavy clutch get a stock vette probally convertableamazing car, beats cars 200k more in every aspect, no problems yet and it feels like an extenshion of your person
Pros: heads up display
Cons: run flat tire noise
Advice: buybest car on the road for the money.fast, handles like a dream, and gets 27 mpg on the highway....
Cons: turn radius
Advice: buy the most you can afford. someday you will be glad you did.I bought a new Vette convertible. NO PROBLEMS. Everything has been perfect. The Vette is 100% supercar. There is no other car comparable FOR THE PRICE. NONE. The cars that can compete with the Vette are 50-500% higher cost. The Vettes acceleration, handling, styling, build quality is truly awesome. I see remarks about interior quality....I have found it to be exceptional. To improve over what is there now means higher cost. The Vette team has it 'just right'. I love my Vette. I plan to own it for rest of my life. Its definitely a keeper.
Pros: 400 bhp
Cons: Seats take a little getting use to; but once you get'em where you want...memory locks them in.
Advice: Silver paint serves as good urban camoflage and invest in a good radar dector.Super machine! A perfect blend of luxury and performance power. Undoubtedly the most technologically sophisticated vehicle I have ever driven or owned. Keyless entry, keyless start, driver cockpit memory, a litany of electronic performance enhancements, 400 bhp on-tap at beckoning's call, embedded on-star communications, and built-in GPS are just some of the impressive features of this fine sportcar. The machine metallic silver paint helps the car blend-in; it's not loud like yellow or orange as if to say, '...here I am, write me a ticket.' Corvette's forever...
Pros: The motor! The torgue and horsepower are intoxicating!
Cons: 1-4 shift light. Please let me decide which gear I want.
Advice: Get the power top. I didn't and I regret it.I owned 2 Honda S2000's prior to my Corvette. I thought they were fast. Well, they don't even come close! Forget about overhead cams, VTEC and the 8000 RPM redline. This car makes far more power without all the thrashing and noise. The F55 suspension makes the car a comfortable touring vehicle with the option to stiffen the suspension when you need it. If you're looking for a toy you need not look any further. Just do it! I assure you you won't be disappointed.
