2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LS Hatchback
Pros: Comfortable seats and smooth quiet engine
Cons: Trunk size on the hatchback
Advice: NoneWe rented a 2007 Chevy Aveo hatchback with automatic transmission for a road trip through Northern Oregon and Washington States. Drove for 2 weeks along the coast and through the mountains. The car was loaded with the two of us with two weeks of luggage, some of which had to lay on the back seat. I was surprised how well this car behaved itself. The engine had plenty of torque and horsepower. The ride and seats were comfortable. Gas mileage was between 32 and 34mpg, and once we attained 37mpg on a day we carried no luggage and the road was flat. Over all, the car was a pleasure and I am thinking about buying one.
2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LS Sedan
Pros: Fuel efficiancy
Cons: No air conditioning
Advice: Make sure of all the options you would like in a carWe bought this car for commuting. It has great MPG. We made the mistake of not making sure it had air conditioning. We did not know cars were made without air conditioning! Air conditioning should be standard in todays cars.
2006 Chevrolet Aveo - LT Sedan
Pros: Like them all.
Cons: There's nothing not like with this car.
Advice: Once you drive one, you'll want one. Best car in it's class, dollar for dollar. My wife just bought the car a week ago. It is fully loaded. The interior is nice with an excellent sound system. Lots of leg and head room. The car is the easiest car to get in and out of I have ever seen. Just the right height. The trunk is big for a car it's size. It handles like a dream in tight curves. That four banger jumps to 60 surprisingly very quickly. Once it's broke in I expect it to get 34-36 mpg once my wife puts between three and six thousand miles on it.
2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LT Sedan
Cons: very bad mpg 22.5 all around
Advice: dont buyi have a lt automatic i get 22.5 mpg with 10,000 miles thy keep telling me its not broken in yet.my mpg will increase.this is bull! this car is history with me and i will let the chevy board of directors no how the dealer and rep respond to a buyer.
2005 Chevrolet Aveo - LT Sedan
Cons: No right arm rest
Advice: Nice basic commuter carI bought my 2005 Aveo a year ago. I bought it because of the price and because of the gas mileage. Overall I am pleased with it. It is a much better car than I expected for the price. The gas mileage should be better for such a small car (I average about 30 MPG automatic transmission) but much of my sixty mile daily commute is spent on a Chicago area tollway where you must drive in excess of 70 MPH to avoid being run over. The car is comfortable to drive and has plenty of headroom. It really needs a right arm rest. Can this be retro fit? The only problem I have had was the radio which died within three months of the purchase (replaced by dealer) and the clock which intermittantly stops and has to be reset.
