2002 Buick Park Avenue - Ultra
Pros: Comfort at speed
Cons: Some of the interior material are cheap
Advice: As a used car, if the price is right, a very good machine.2002 Buick Ultra. Purchased new in late 2001, car has 51,000 miles without a single problem. The only repair I had done was to purchase new rotors and replace the OEM rotors that had warped. Great machine on the highway, at highway speed it registers 30 to 31 mpg, in the city a consistent 19 to 21 mpg. Paint is show room condition, leather is slightly worn. All in all the best machine we.ve owned in a long time and when pushed is very fast for a six.
2007 Buick Terraza - CX
Cons: comfort of third row seats
Advice: NoneSide passenger doors didn't open and close smoothly. Sounded like they were in a bind.
2008 Buick Lucerne - CXL
Cons: brakes are weak
Advice: Spend the extra $$$'s and upgrade to the CXS with the NorthstarThe V6 is surprisingly peppy, although it does sound a bit throaty. The quiet cabin is the most remarkable feature of this car. The materials and fit and finish also boast an air of quality ironically different from Buick's recent past. Gas mileage on the V6 is impressive as I have a habit of always driving in a hurry and I consistently achieve around 19 MPG with city driving, which, of a car this size, is impressive. Many compact models that are half the size offer comparative performance in this arena.
2008 Buick Enclave - CX FWD
Pros: Quiet and smooth ride
Cons: trying to find one.
Advice: It's well worth the wait if you have to order one.Great ride, smooth and quiet. Fits my 6'5' frame rather well. Have not found another vehicle that competes. Well, maybe it's siblings, Acadia and Outlook, but only superficially. Standard features unbelievable. Dealer was great also. I found the vehicle using the locate feature on the Buick web site and my dealer went out and got it for me.
2008 Buick Enclave - CXL FWD
Pros: Ease of driving plus its visibility.
Advice: Test drive one and then you can determine for yourself. The ride is the smoothest that I have driven in all the crossover models.
2006 Buick LaCrosse - CXS
Pros: healted seats
Cons: I dislike nothing at all
Advice: go for itThis is a fabulous car. It feels sturdy. It's a wonderful car for long distance trips. It feels good on the highway. A nice SAFE feeling.
2004 Buick Rainier - 4x2
Pros: Quiet and comfortable, I can actually hear
Cons: Not much space in the front seat area for storage
Advice: Check out every part of the vehicle and look for the factory defects because you will find some more than likely if you look close enough....check out that rear tailgate glass...it was a factory defect...they had not attached a rod that enabled it to lockWe have only had our 2007 Rainier for two weeks. There was a chip in the side trim, loose screw under hood lid, radio lights were going on and off and tailgate upper glass would not lock. All of these things were found after vehicle was purchased. But, dealer took care of everything at our convenience. Comfort is great, in fact with the 8-way power seats and our back trouble that was a main selling feature for us. I find the steering to be very quick and can get away from you around turns if you are not very careful. Smooth and Quiet, WOW! We drove every SUV out there and compared and this was the only one that met all our needs. The only thing it is missing is storage areas up front for eyeglasses, kleenex or such. Regardless, we love it so far and are getting 21.5 mpg so far and expect to get more as the engine gets broken in good. My sisters Rendevouz didn't get very good mileage at first and has increased as time goes by. The inline 6 engine is plenty powerful and don't understand why anyone would really need more power in this vehicle. It is great!
