    2002 BMW 525 - i (M5) Sedan

    Pros: The Sport Package rims

    Cons: Cupholders suck

Advice: make sure you purchase the extended warranty

This is the best BMW I have driven. I have driven the 7 and the 3, one is too big and one is too small. This model is perfect. Handling is amazing. Its performance and handling has saved me from a couple of accidents that would have been unavoidable had I been driving another car. I choose this model over the new style because this model in my opinion has the true BMW 'look'. My 02 BMW 525i with sport package is one I plan on keeping for a long time!!

    2005 BMW 525 - Base

Pros: Interior Comfort and Xenon headlights

Cons: Cupholders and front storage space

    Advice: Get it!!

I had researched and test drove EVERYTHING. The Lexus ES 300, The Mercedes C-class, the Jaguar X and S-types, even the Infinitie M45. NOTHING compares to the Beemer!!! It makes driving to and from work a treat!! I am so thrilled by the I-drive. It makes everything so easy to control! (Of course, it takes a minute to figure out..just get a teenager in the care with you!) THe looks of the care get stares all the time! You feel great in the driver's seat. I recommend this car to anyone who really wants to experieince the ultimate driving machine!

    2004 BMW 525 - Base

    Pros: Good handling and breaks

Cons: The I drive and the car computer is a big hassle

    Advice: Look before you leap

Very smooth. Wasn't mind blowing but was ok since I always wanted a BMW. Owning the car has been a real hassle though. I have had the airbag light go off four times since owning the car in the last 8 or 9 months. Other lights go off periodically and require the car to be taken in. The front cup holder had also been replaced after getting stuck. While on the freeway today, the rear tire blew up after just 9 months of owning this brand new car. More importantly, the car computer did not dtect the flat tire or warn me until the spare tire had been exchanged and I ws running on the road with it! The BMW assit program is not as effecient as advetised. Help came after about one hour of calling them!

    2004 BMW 525 - Base

Pros: Active Steering and Active Roll Stabilization included with optional Sports Package

Cons: Absence of a water temperature gauge

Advice: Don't expect much of a discount from the sticker price

The highlight of the test drive was experiencing the Active Steering and Active Roll Stablization features that are part of the optional Sports Package. Both add to the remarably quick and precise handling of the vehicle at slow speeds. I was impressed with the flawless fit and finish of the car and the comfortabe, well designed interior.

    2003 BMW 525 - i (M5) Sedan

    Pros: septronic auto transmission,

    Cons: useless cupholders

Advice: The premium and cold weather pakages add alot to the vehicle

My wife and I were looking for a vehicle for her. We considered the Lincoln LS -V-8,Cadillac CTS, Jaguar X Type 3.0 ltr,Benz c-320 and the BMW 525i. My first concern about the 525 was that the engine was going to be undersized and that the car would underperform. Well after driving it I couldn't have been more wrong. When using the steptronic auto 5 transmission, this car really performs well. the handling is firm and the transmission is very smooth. I purchased the car with the cold weather package and the premium package, and I love it. My biggest complaint is that its difficult to get it away from my wife, so that I can drive it. The sound system is fantastic and the seating is comfortable and the seat memory feature is very handy. I really recommend that you drive this vehicle. The cup holders are stupid they shouldnt have even bothered. Since that is my biggest complaint, I'll learn to live with it. For some reason the review will not allow me to enter 2003 model, which I bought, it says not in data base, so I will enter a 2002. But the vehicle I am reviewinf and have purchased is a 2003

    2003 BMW 525 - i (M5) Sedan

Pros: Overall appearance and smooth ride.

    Cons: Nothing!

Advice: Go and drive this...you'll buy it!

I was certainly tempted to cough up the additional four grand for the 530i when I purchased my new 525i and, after driving it for several months, I'm glad I didn't. This is the smoothest running car on the planet! The engine is responsive, shifting is a breeze (I have the five speed) and the overall quality of the car is second to none. I have owned many 'Japanese luxury sedans' and thought they were very good. This is way better!
