Pros: A high precision german car
Cons: a high precision german carA nice drive. Very good performance, looks great. Better than expected gas miles. But, it is a european high precision vehicle, so it will cost you more to own than an one from asia. Routine maintenance it at a dealer will cost you an arm and a leg. A major repair will result in the exchange of your 1st born child. Other than that, a great car.
best sedan I've owned
Cons: nothingvery comfortable, 30mpg highway, great trunk
Pros: Awd quattro engine
Cons: Owner costsVery nice car. Quattro handling in the ice and snow is better than any AWD vehicle I have ever driven. The only downside is maintenance costs. Wish I was offered Audi care when I purchased it
Pros: The interior
Cons: Audi's option package, I have no garage openerI have had Audi's since 1982. I have had Coupes, 100, 200, A4, A4 and now an A6. This car is as comfortable as a Bentley yet hussles down the road in supreme comfort and over the Sierra's here in Northern California like a sports car. The car is set up beautifully. Each time I drive the others (BMW,Mercedes, Lexus and Infinity) and come back to the build and quality of Audi. I wanted the 4.2 V8 but with 3.2 and 29 miles per gallon at 80mph and the feel of a V8 I don't need it. I'm not drag racing so I don't need an S or RS. The car is really supreme at what it does and gives confidence. I know the limits of the car after going thru Audi's program at Infiron Raceway in Sonoma California. Great Car looking forwad to the next version and A-7. I have had A-4's but don't overlook the A6. I get compliments all the time.
Pros: B&O Stereo & Paddle shifters
Cons: There are no negatives with this vehicle
Advice: Buy used Only (with Car-Fax & all service records) preferably from a warm climate. This is my 2nd A8L, as after I sold my 2006 I realized what a great car it truly was. Would have never bought new because of initial loss, but to get a 12k mi. 2007 in 8-09 for $50k with an MSRP of $88K was the only way to go, as a new 09 comparably equipped is now mid 90's and is essentially identical. Thought of going the S8 route but why pay more for a car with less amenities to get you to 60 a tick faster with considerable less mileage. More than adequate power and comfort at a price less than a new A6. Has more back seat leg room than a new Rolls-Royce Ghost and a wonderful ride. Have loved Audis since my 1987 5000 turbo quattro (no it didn't run away unintended) only available in 5-speed. It's taken Audi 20+ years to recover from that debacle.
Pros: the seats
Cons: the wheel
Advice: if your looking for an awesome car, you have found it.really liked this car, going to buy it for my husband on his 38th birthday.
Advice: get the 3.2 2005AMAZING is the only word that can describe this car
