2002 Audi A4 - 3.0 (A5) quattro Sedan
Pros: Mute point when it doesn't run of repeatedly fails
Cons: major engine problems, terrible service
Advice: Avoid Audi, consider BMW or MercedesUnacceptably unreliable. We have experienced several major problems with this vehicle (our 2nd Audi). Our A4 has blown relays, been in the shop for over 30 days for an oil-sludge problem (blown engine, even though the services were all performed on schedule by the dealership), and now a coil problem. WOrst of all, Audi does NOT stand behind the vehicle, and move to remedy justified dissatisfaction. AVOID AUDI.
2002 Audi allroad - (A5)
Pros: Memory passenger seat as well as driver seat is nice when two of us switch off driving.
Cons: The extra fancy wheels are difficult to clean, but pretty. Needs premium fuel.
Advice: Be prepared to enjoy.Have owned for 3 years now and what's not to love? Beautiful German fit, finish and styling. Excellent power and handling. Quiet and powerful. You will not find any vehicle with a more luxurious interior. The materials are top notch, no cheap plastics or vinyls in this beast. Very thoughtful control layout and at night the cockpit looks like a 747 with its red backlit knobs and instruments. Every control, including the rear door power window switches and all the interior door handles are backlit with red lighting. Very thoughtful touch and very elegant looking..day or night.
2004 Audi S4 - (M6) Quattro Sedan
Pros: V8 torque
Cons: nothing yet
Advice: Find your price range and test drive and test drive some more.I could not be more pleased with this car. I live in Canada and the quattro is superb. I have owned a 2003 M3, a great car, but not the low end torque that makes daily driving a pleasure. I wanted a classy looking car - I,ve had many compliments in this regard. The interior is a step up from the BMW. Hopefully the reliability will be better than Audis from the early 90's. So far I'm still smiling. Love that V8.
2004 Audi A8 - Base
Pros: This vehicle is just plain fun to drive. You will have a smile on your face the entire time you drive.
Cons: Navigation for restaurants is terrible in large cities.
Advice: Enjoy. This is the best vehicle I have ever owned. The quality is unbelievable. The performance exceeds my expectations. The back massager is a treat to be enjoyed by both the driver and front passenger. You will not be sorry if you purchase an Audi A8L, but you need to bring some lunch money.
2004 Audi A4 - quattro Quattro Cabriolet
Cons: Touchy sunroof
Advice: Consider all wheel drive vs. two wheel rear wheel driveI've had my 2003 Audi A4 3.0 for just over a year and have over 36,000 spirited miles on it. Since owning the car, I haven't had a single problem with it. I consider the car a two seater since the back seats only have room enough for little people. In the tiptronic mode the car is a blast and sticks like glue (Michelin Sport Tires). The styling is great and the competition knows it (ie the new Acura TL). Drove the S4 Cabriolet and although it has the muscle to easily push me back into my seat, I prefer the 3.0, I found the 1.8T noisy and powerless. A good looking quality compact sized car.
2004 Audi A4 - 3.0 (EOP Nov/03) FrontTrak FrontTrak Sedan
Pros: Bose Stereo system
Cons: performance and service issues
Advice: Stay away from AudiWarning: STAY AWAY FROM AUDI! We have been plagued by service issues with our Audi. Transmission went out on a car not even 2 years old...and Audi doensn't rebuild transmissions...they are all new. Audi didn't want to cover it under the warranty so it was a $13K problem for the new transmission. We had to get a lawyer involved. This car is a total mess and I would urge anyone considering one to re-think.
2003 Audi A4 - 3.0 (A5) quattro Quattro Station Wagon
Pros: Looks! It is a great looking car.
Advice: Do not buy an Audi product no matter how good it looks! This is the worst car we have ever owned! A dozen or more trips to the service department and have had to have the car towed twice. Very poor responce from the service department as well as from Audi as well. I will never ever own an Audi product again!
