Advice: If you want looks, and like comfert and safety buy this vehicle!When i test drove this car i was impressed. I was very precise on the color of this vehicle. I wanted the ice blue, as i call it ' baby blue' with a black top. I finally got it, and i love it. I t only has 10,000 miles so far and still runs beautifully.

Advice: Economy is the ES and OZ, and Racy is the Ralliart.I've had my 2005 Lancer Ralliart for a little over a month now and I love this car. Its upgraded engine, body styling, and interior makes it a notch above the economy ES and OZ Rally. The 2.4l engine has enough zip on the freeway to make passing and merging a breeze. Th interior, with the black w/red fabric is nice, and the seats are very comfortable. However, the suspension is very stiff so you will feel the rocks and dips. But the superior handling makes up for that.

Advice: Don't crash.No test drive. I've owned the Eclipse for about 7 months already, bought it with 34K miles. It's only at 41K miles, still running strong. It's been giving me a funny sound when I catch high speeds on the West Side HWY while accel. but it's really nothing and no one can figure out what it is. The car handles VERY well and is pretty quick but it just isn't cool when a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO can dust you. The 140hp on this 4-cyl thing with no turbo-charged options from the dealer, suck. Since buying the car from the dealership in lower Manhattan I've dropped the car on it's factory 15' Mitsubishi rims for even better handling on sharp turns. The rims I sanded down and painted gun metal. I installed a full body kit and shaved all the emblems except for a custom Sports Edition RS-R emblem I placed on the back where the original RS letters were located. The hood and spoiler also painted black the same as my rims, also sanded down for the off-black look. Performance wise I installed an APEX GT catback exhaust system for a few more horses. I wouldn't trade my Eclipse for anything.
Pros: The low profile seating as if its a high cost sports car, and the fact the gear shift, (being I have a 5 speed) is so convenient and right at arms length.
Cons: There is a very open void on the front grill area. Mitsubishi should have made a protective grill area there. A rock from the road penetrated the radiator on my car due to the lack of that. Cost me about $300.
Advice: Think twice if you do alot of winter/snow drivingThis is my second Eclipse. I do have to say that it cant compare to my '98 I had as far as the styling is concerned. I liked the more 'squashed' look from the models prior to the newer change that came I think in 2000. This car is not for winter and snow driving. I tend to leave it home when the weather here up north gets bad. I had too many spin outs with this car. But with nice weather driving, you cant beat this car. Ive driven my brothers Corvette, and other than the obvious lack of power compared to that car, it compares almost the same, in my opinion. I had grafic details done on the car,put on Euro rear lens, and it really stands out in the croud. The 2006's are going to be awesome however. I saw pictures and I swear, this upcoming car is going to look like something from the future! Maybe time for trading it in?? Who knows.

Advice: Make sure you really like it. It's a beauty but car fits two people comfortably. This car is more for single college guysGreat Speed, really smooth. With the convertible top on it's a little tough to see in the back. As long as you are planning on driving one more person you are fine. It's very cramped in the back. Many of my friends are very tall but manage.

Advice: definetly test drive with the top up to see if you can work around the big blind spotsthis car is so much fun. it is fast, quiet, has a great stereo system, and looks really hot! the only problem i have had with it is the blind spot because of the convertible.... you have to use all three mirrors a lot more than you are used to in a regular car, and keep your turn signal on for a minute to warn people you're getting over. other than that i have had no problems. it responds quickly and does pretty well with gas too.

Advice: Great car! not a family car though!This is a great car! I test drove one after driving a Ford Mustang, Pontiac Grand Am, and Toyota Celica. I owned a 1991 Eagle Talon, which had a turbocharged 4 cylinder engine. The 6 cylinder engine in this model has more horsepower than that car did, without a turbo. The only flaw that I can think of is that its hard to see out of when trying to change lanes, or merging on the freeway, you have to adjust the mirrors exactly right to see! I found that putting a small concave mirror on the side mirrors helps a lot! Great sound system, great handling, great acceleration, but only made for 2 people comfortably.
