2003 Mitsubishi Outlander - XLS AWD

Pros: sportonic transmission and sound system

Cons: noisey, especially when you run the air

Advice: Test drive RAV4, Honda CRV and Lexus RX300. The smart buy will be the Outlander

Love the look, plenty of leg room. I purchased the XLS AWD, so the sound system leaves nothing to desire. Nice ride. 6 cyclinder would be nice and a little higher off the ground. Also I think they should include a 6 CD Changer as an option.

2003 Mitsubishi Outlander - XLS FWD

Pros: The roominess of the interior.

Cons: There are big gusts of air with the front windows down.

Advice: Test drive everything, you will buy this vehicle.

This is a cool vehicle, I bought the 2WD for the slightly better fuel economy. I am getting 23 MPG and enjoying it. The pickup is so good, you will forget it's a 4 Cylinder. If you are considering this car, get it! Test-drive it though. I had a different ride and feel from 3 different Outlander XLS models. Get the right one for your taste.

2003 Mitsubishi Outlander - LS FWD

    Pros: many standard features

Cons: heated mirrors and compass are not standard

Advice: Get the alloy wheels, appearance package

I bought the Outlander LS 2WD because it's so competatively priced compared to it's competition. Seating comfort, smooth riding, and plenty of functional compartments are many additional reasons why this makes a great choice. I was looking for fuel economy without sacrificing in room or appearance. At 21 MPG/city, this is a great choice without the 'economy' looking appearance. It drives great and gaines me many a compliment.

2003 Mitsubishi Outlander - XLS AWD

Pros: The ease of driving, rides like a car.

    Cons: Needs a V6

Advice: Get the XLS with all options. You won't regret it.

I love my new Outlander. I have the Outlander XLS AWD with the sun and sound and luxury packages. I like that it drives like a car, but sits up high enough to see over most other vehicles. I like the design of the Outlander, especially with the added fender flares, the flares gives it a more beefy look. Their is hardly any wind or noise to speak of. The interior is spacious and well laid out with all controls within easy reaching distance. Their is plenty of storage space located throughout the Oulander. I especially like the ease of getting in and out of the Outlander. The only things Mitsubishi needs to add to the Outlander to make it the perfect vehicle are; daytime running lights, controls for the radio/cd player need to be located on the steering wheel like their other new models and adding a V6 would make it more powerful and better suited to complete with other mid-size SUV's, other than that I love my Outlander, I also own a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclispe GT Spyder convertible. I don't think I would go with another car company if I was to buy a new vehicle again, Mitsubishi makes great cars and I have never regret either one of my purchases from Mitsubishi.

2003 Mitsubishi Outlander - LS FWD

Pros: Sportronic transmission, above average styling

Cons: Hard to find side rear view mirrors in dark and no light on the console shifter.

Advice: Great SUV at a low price. Very happy with my purchase so far and many compliments.

Good for in-city driving and handles very well. The Outlander has good acceleration and gas mileage is excellent. I like the fold down rear seat console which has cup holders and the rear seats do recline just a bit to allow passengers more comfort on long trips.

2003 Mitsubishi Outlander - LS FWD

    Pros: comfortable and responsive handling

Cons: can't pinpoint anything at this time

Advice: consider this suv very strongly when looking at others in this class

Just bought this suv a couple of days ago and it is everything I invisioned it to be consistant with earlier test drives. You get a lot of vehicle for a very fair price. The interior is plain but very nice looking and seats are quite comfortable. The handling feels secure and the suspension is taut but supple. It's an easy car to drive. The braking feels secure and stops efficiently. For it's 140hp,the engine with it's 157ft lbs of torque has good get-up and go.Having the sportronic automatic transmission with the choice of manually shifting clutchless is a real bonus. All in all,I highly suggest checking out this suv. There is much to like and it has many pluses that I think will be appealing to many people.
