2004 Mitsubishi Outlander - LS FWD

    Pros: waranty and styling

Cons: uncomfortable interior and engine noise

Advice: definatly test drive other cars in same class before buying

its not so much that this is a poor quality vechile at first glance or test drive,so much as it compares rather poorly to its competitors such as the honda crv.after test driving the outlander first and being ready to buy on appearances alone,i test drove the crv and realized what a huge diffrence there is in road handling, smoothness and over all quality of the materials inside the car.the crv was much quiter and deffinatly worth the extra money.i decided to pass on the styling and the long warranty and chose comfort and quality instead.

2004 Mitsubishi Outlander - LS AWD

Pros: Style, comfort, and the Sun & Sound package

Cons: A bigger fuel tank would be nice!

Advice: Try the Outlander first and then test drive the competition. You'll fall for the Outlander in no time!

I test drove the Outlander first without knowing anything about it. We were hesitant to buy Mitsubishi, so I test drove the Xterra, Rav4, Libety, and Ford Explorer Sport. None of them compared to the Outlander! I ended up purchasing the 2004 Outlander XLS with the sun & sound package and I absolutely love it. What's even better is it stands out from all the Rav4's, Xterra's, and Liberty's on the road. Check it out - you won't be disappointed.

2004 Mitsubishi Outlander - LS AWD

    Pros: Sportronic transmission

Cons: Door side pockets a little to narrow.

Advice: Have salesman explain sportronic transmission & use it in traffic on test drive.

We drove two other popular models - Toyota Rav4 & Subaru Outback before purchasing the Mitsubishi Outlander. While all the vehicles were nice it seemed that the Mitsubishi slightly beat them in every catagory we considered important. The Outlander was much quieter when driving, especially then the Rav4, it had more power then both & the interior layout gave it much more space & comfort, the ride was much smoother also. The best feature though, was the Sportronic transmission which we use in the city for more rapid acceleration plus you can slow the vehicle down using the engine instead of the brakes. Great idea that works perfectly! While other cars might have more re-sale value that it not our primary reason to purchase a particular brand. We plan on keeping our Mitsubishi for a long time. Try it first, before you buy anything else.

2003 Mitsubishi Outlander - XLS FWD

    Pros: Over Drive

Cons: very quiet and smooth ride. Even we dont know the engine was running.

Advice: This is the best buy according to gas milage

love the handling. Even though 4clinder it has sufficient power and as well as pickup, great milage in city like 22 mpg and highway 28mpg. I was impressed on a mtn. ski trip how well the outlander went up and came down using the sportronic shift.Absolutely great around town as well as 80 mph on the interstates. comfotable and relatively quiet, economical, sporty, and reliable suv.

2004 Mitsubishi Outlander - LS AWD

    Pros: Interior and exterior design/appearance.

    Cons: Limited rear cargo area

Advice: Test drive it. Try accelerating quickly, you won't be dissappointed!

I bought the Outlander a month ago and absolutely love it. The roadways around here are polluted with Rav4s and CR-Vs and it is so cool driving my much better looking Outlander around and having so many people ask about it. My AWD Outlander handles great , has more than enough power, and the interior is practical and stylish. I cannot say enough about the quality of this car!
