Pros: The solid ride and looks
Cons: gas mileage
Advice: buy one ,one of the best looking SUV's on the roadLove the looks of my 2002 Montero Sport XLS,the 3.5 has plenty of power. Smooth and more quiet than my 2000 mazda 626 ES. Handles like a dream. Couldn't as for anything more, It's a 4X4 with class.
Cons: Engine problem starts within a second year. In some cases need to replace the engine at your cost.
Advice: do....not buy it.Good bye mitsubishi.........need to improve their engine.
Pros: The lumbar support and height adjustment for driver seat
Cons: Side steps look cool but make it a little akward getting in and out
Advice: Do your research to make sure it's really what you want and needCar is comfortable, drivers seat has lumbar support and height adjustment. The back seat has a center fold down for arm rest and drink holder, and another cool thing about the back seat is it reclines. Plenty of storage space, cargo room in the back is big with small compartments underneath the floor to store things like battery cables and tools. The all wheel drive is great in the snow, and the heater puts out plenty of heat. I've only had my Montero a month, but so far I've been happy with it.
Pros: Quality and apperance
Advice: If you are looking for a 4X4 on a truck frame this is the oneGreat vehicle for overall driving in Alaska. The AWD is nice to have in addition to the 4h and 4L. This is the 3rd Mitisubishi I have owned.
Pros: Big enough for my family but small enough to park
Cons: driver seat could be more comfortable
Advice: DONT forget to refinance if you choose the 0/0I have no complaints on my vehicle. I have owned it for 18 months now with no problems.
Pros: Comfortable ride, easy to get in and out.
Cons: Appearance package doesn't come with a rear cargo screen. Not enough cup holders.
Advice: Go with the 0/0, then refinance the loan when the interest hits. *Do not* buy gap insurance.I've owned my sport for nearly a year now and for the most part -- I love it. Great ride, lots of pickup, lots of comfort, looks cool, good price. However, over the course of a *very* cold winter there were four mornings when she just didn't want to turn over. I've been to the dealer to have it looked at, but since they can't replicate the problem they can't identify it. Now it's spring and it will probably be another year before it happens again. Anyone else having similar problems?
Cons: Likes the juice
Advice: Atleast consider itThis is my first SUV and I am pleased; however, I have one conflict. The A/C compressor makes a loud click sound when it starts cycling. I am wondering if it's about to go out. Anyway, overall I am really enjoying this truck. I've had it off-road several times and it poses great performance. I almost bought a 4 runner, but this seemed like as much vehicle for less money. I recommend it to everyone.
