2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback - LS

    Pros: The Sporty Appearance

Cons: they could have added a couple more features to the dash

    Advice: great engine/great tranny...................drive it to 200k

Wow!!!! Think about it. An economical, sporty station wagon. I think it is a very comfortable ride not to mention smooth on the road. With the research I've done I've found that people get anywhere from 21-25 mpg and this stands to reason. My insurance company gave me a 20% disc due to the fact that it ranks well in the safety dept. I also like the fact that because I'm 5'2' this is the first vehicle I can sit the recommended 10-12 inches from the steering wheel. My 6'2' husband fits inside well. I am very curious to see how it rides in a snowstorm though.

2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback - LS

    Pros: power

    Cons: fuel economy

Advice: check all the dealers..the price for this car varried quite a bit from dealer to dealer

This car has excellent pick up...the fastest cheap wagon I've seen. Unfortunately the fuel economy suffers. I get 21mpg (and that is with no air and no jack rabbit starts). It doesn't look inexpensive with the premium paint and clean lines. I've noticed the radio hasn't the best reception. It has a rough ride and is a little low to the ground. In the snow it drives fair. Overall, you seem to get a lot for the money especially with the 5/60 bumper to bumper warranty.

2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback - LS

Pros: Adaptive transmission control, excellent handling

Cons: Lack of performance at start for the 1.6l version

Advice: Choose 2.0l or bigger engine

I've driven Lancer Sportback (actually its name in Europe is Station Wagon) for approx. 6000 miles. I feel very good about the comfort of the model and I was seriously impressed by an unusual for this class of vehicle control, except at middle and high speeds. Althogh I have to put an attention to the lack of performans and torque at low speeds. Anyway I think this car is one of the best choises for the money
