Pros: Aggressive styling, exceptional power, impressive sound system, surprising leg room
Cons: front grill
Advice: You must test drive the GTS before you buy a car.Unbelievable acceleration. The handling has a German car feel - not what you'd expect from Japanese engineering. The ride is solid and confident. Pass with ease. I get looks and head turns all the time - people don't know what kind of car it is b/c there isn't many new Galants on the road. Make sure you use premium unleaded gas.
Pros: I can't pick just one favorite feature. This car has everything I wanted.
Cons: The dash and glove box has been replaced due to major imperfections.
Advice: If you want speedYou can't get a sedan sexier than the 2005 Galant.
Cons: Sunroof slams closed whenever you brake.
Advice: Buy the extended warrantyI feel that this is a fantastic car. As with most cars these days though, you're going to want to own it while under warranty. I've had some brake trouble, just like everyone else noted. It just seems that the rotors warp fairly quickly. Maybe an engineering oversight. I've also had the transmisson fixed at about 40k, which is a bit unsettling. But it's all covered by warranty. I don't plan on owning the car once the warranty is done.
Pros: Total package for the money
Cons: Had to get use to the outside design.
Advice: Get one. Can't wait to get pass the break in period. My wife owns it, but I want to drive it. The color black on this car looks totally different. HP sounds goood....
Pros: The titanium trim on the inside.
Cons: I love everything about it!
Advice: Buy this car, you won't regret it!I love my car! Lots of room, and power! Great luxury family car.
Pros: Smooth immediate power
Cons: Rear Styling
Advice: You must drive this if you're shopping this categoryI owned my last Galant for 15 years. Not particularly taken with the new styling I was not going to buy one. Then I drove a GTS. Smooth power immediatley on tap, crisp, precise and cotrolled handling (I've already made some fast avoidance moves). I was sold - this is simply a great drivers car for the price. They should have included a few more small storage areas (for coins and stuff), and the shift layout is not the best for the performance driver. I use the autostick all the time - and the odd time I slip from D into N. Reverse is also hard to find in a hurry. That should be cleaned up. Great sound system, plays burned CD's, Leather, auto climate, TCS etc., etc., - it's really only missing a GPS system. Took me awhile to find the audio controls on the back of the steering wheel -properly placed but well hidden! Far nicer interior than an Altima, and Camry (from a Driver's perspective). Eventhough I'm not totally keen on the styling, still beats the bland styling of a Honda. Overall, this is a drivers car, with an almost perfect balance between comfort, 4 door versatility and performance. You simply HAVE to drive it if you're shopping. The warranty etc. is simply bonus.
Pros: performance,handling and comfort
Cons: that the gts dose not have dual exhaust
Advice: ive driven the big 3 jap cars and people buy for just the name, mitsubishi is equalgreat performance, comfortable ride in normal driving conditions, but it handles great and flat when pushed hard in cornering, which gives you both comfort and great handling which what makes this car a superb sports sedan.quiet on the freeway, excellent comfort front and back and lots of leg room.solid built car with excellent quality and i know ive been a quality inspector for 15 years on airplanes and this car has excellent fit and finish throughout and all you have to do is drive it.i don't buy cars for there names (honda, nissan, toyota)get it.
