Pros: Sporty Look
Cons: no fog lights w/o headlights on too
Advice: check brakes often for rotor warpageNice quiet ride. Smooth pick-up even the 4cyl. Needs a little help passing at higher speeds. Overall a B+/A-
Cons: Sunroof slams closed whenever you brake.
Advice: Buy the extended warrantyI feel that this is a fantastic car. As with most cars these days though, you're going to want to own it while under warranty. I've had some brake trouble, just like everyone else noted. It just seems that the rotors warp fairly quickly. Maybe an engineering oversight. I've also had the transmisson fixed at about 40k, which is a bit unsettling. But it's all covered by warranty. I don't plan on owning the car once the warranty is done.
Pros: Good Looks
Cons: Bad Brakes
Advice: If you are going to spend $19000 buy a Honda or Toyota. It rides comfortably. More than sufficiant power from the four-banger. Quiet. Its actually pleasant on highway rides. Brakes heat up real quick in traffic and in the city. Lots of fade. Dome/Map lights in a bad spot. Not typical center of roof where every other car manufacturer puts them. Fold down seat is chincy, why not 60/40? Brakes are terrible, our first brake job was at just over 800 miles due to a defect. Now we are in about every 2000 miles for new brakes. They cover the issue up by turning the rotors every time but never fix it. The service advisor said that the rotors can be turned up to 30 times before they replace them. That was after 5th time they were turned. Sure thing.
Pros: triple zero' suck in 'for a year
Cons: one of the cup holders is completely blocked
Advice: stick with hondasthese cars suck! i highly recommend staying away from mitsubishi. ive had mine in the shop about 4 times for brakes alone. the service is terrible. the tires deflate so now i have to relace them. the left front speaker is blown, gas mileage is inaccurate, etc. my wife and i are already in arbitration, and are fighting to get mitsubishi to take it back. lets face it, if you pay 30,000 dollars for a car it shouldnt fall apart!!!
Pros: Pewter trim
Advice: Go for itgreat car
Pros: The seats
Cons: everything else
Advice: Dont buy one!!I hate this car...I wish I never bought it...the resale value is awful...I bought my Galant for $19,000, now 3 months later its worth $11,000..it depriceated $8,000 dollars. Besides that, now at 3,500 miles my breaks feel like their going to give out at any moment...I had to take it to the dealer because one of the pistons were busted and they had to replace everything. WORD OF CAUTION TO EVERYONE!! STAY AWAY FROM MITSUBISHI!! Sure they're having great 0% intrest..No payments for a year...Dont be fooled
Cons: lack of interior colors
Advice: Great valueThis GTZ verson of the Galant handels quite well and has outstanding preformance. Its not a BMW when it comes to quality of the leather but for the price and preformance, great sound system it' a great buy that's fun to drive.
