Cons: having to drive anything else.
Advice: Drive it.You will buy it.I feel like a member of a secret society. It is called 'People who have driven and purchased an Endeavor'. The Endeavor is not only a pleasure to drive,it is actually almost exciting.I have owned several SUVs and they all felt like I was driving a truck. The Endeavors power, suspension and handling make it feel more like a sports sedan.Coupled with all the features that I drive SUVs for,I cannot praise this vehicle enough. I also have first hand experience with Mitsubishi safety, as my previous vehicle was a 2000 Montero Sport which I walked away from uninjured after flipping it once and rolling 3 times after hitting black ice. All of this for a very reasonable price? I say join the club!
Advice: Go drive it!This crossover SUV has more room than Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander. The build quality, ride and power are the main reasons to buy this SUV. Dealer service is great! Drive one and you will buy it.
Pros: reliability and gas mileage for a mid size suv
Advice: buy it!!!!Everyone complains about the 91 octane thing, but when you do the math, that is how they make it possible to get such great gas mileage out of a mid size suv with great interior space. Plus the vehicle will last a heck of alot longer because the higher octane rating burns cleaner. This vehicle is a breath of fresh air, I don't know why domestic manufacturers can't produce anything that even slightly mesures up.
Cons: runs on 91 octane
Advice: beware it runs on 91 octaneI am struggling with whether I should buy this vehicle or not. The vehicle is an '05' with a 3.8 liter engine. this vehicle looks great and performed well, but can any one tell me why in 2005 any manufacturer would build an SUV that runs on 91 octane(or higher). I want the truck but unwilling to pay the extra money for gas. The performance will suffer if I use 87 octane, this is a shame.
Pros: Roominess, power
Advice: find a dealer near you.We got our Endeavor slightly used from an Avis Car auction. It had 8000 miles. It now has 20,000. We really like it. The plusses are it's interior roominess especially the back seat and cargo area. The styling is well done, but not luxurious. Nice stereo. Good power and torque in the engine. We like the large standard tires and awd for the snow and ice. Not much for aftermarket accessories yet. Minuses: it has maintenance paid for it's first couple of years, but good luck finding a Mits dealer near you, and it is like pullig teath to get another dealer to do the standard inspections and bill Mits.
