Two models of the 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder are available. The GS model is powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine producing 162 horsepower and the GT model includes a 3.8-liter V6 that produces 260 horsepower. The GS comes with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic while the GT comes with an available six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic.

The 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder utilizes a cloth top with a full headliner and glass rear window that stows nicely beneath a hard tonneau cover in just 19 seconds.

The fourth-generation Mitsubishi Eclipse was designed from the get-go as a coupe or a convertible. This forethought results in a more rigid platform in convertible form, creating a more comfortable ride and responsive handling.

Options for the 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS include leather seating, heated front seats and heated exterior mirrors, and an outside temperature display with compass. Available upgrades for the GT include 18-inch alloy wheels, a six-way power driver’s seat, leather upholstery, heated front seats and exterior mirrors, aluminum pedals, and an automatic climate control system.

A four-sensor antilock braking system with 16-inch ventilated discs up front coupled with 14-inch solid discs at the rear bring the 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS to a stop. The GT model gets a 15-inch ventilated disc upgrade at the rear.

The 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS weighs in at a hefty 3,472 pounds and is motivated by only 162 horsepower. The GT weighs in almost 200 pounds heavier, but gains 98 horsepower from the V6 upgrade.
