Pros: cars performance
Cons: placement of cup holders
Advice: Looking for an affordable sports car? Test drive GTS modelThis is a fun car to drive. The extra 10hp and the new final drive ratio with 5 speed on GTS model make a difference. This car is quick. There is more body roll than expected but it still handles pretty well. But it handles bumps and pot holes better than I expected so I guess that's the trade off with the handling. There is a bunch of wind noise but this is a sport coupe not a Lexus. And besides if they made it real quiet you wouldn't be able to hear the great sounds the engine and exhaust make. This is the way a sport coupe should sound! This car is a lot more comfortable than I expected. Front seats have support in the right spots. No room in the back seats but that's not why I bought this car. If your six ft or taller make sure you take this car for a long test drive. I'm over six ft and I just fit headroom wise, leg room is fine though. Quality seems ok, fit and finish is average, interior materials seem a little cheaper than I would prefer. Sound system sounds great, six disc in dash is a nice feature, audio controls on steering wheel is a great thing to have. Two tone interior colors looks nice. Overall a fun car, with good performance. But remember this is basically a sports car, not a family car or comfort cruiser. It's supose to be fun to drive and it is. Buy one and have a blast.
Pros: oz rally rims
Cons: seat comfort
Advice: Get the OZ Rally EditionI have had my Lancer (OZ RALLY)for one month now and overall i am pleased with it. The car lacks power, but the 120 HP engine still has enough juice to do what i need it to do. The car is great on gas. The stero system is nice and the look is beautiful. I test drove both the Jetta and Protege 5 and i thought iut of all three the Protege drove the best, followed by the Lancer and then the Jetta.
Pros: spoiler looks cool?
Cons: tame version for the US ... needs more power
Advice: there are other decent cars in the same price range ...While test driving the Lancer this morning, it seemed to lack any kind of power while shifting gears. Also seems like it's fairly poor in terms of quality and service. I was just generally unimpressed.
Pros: Standard CD player
Cons: No cruise control or anti-lock brakes offered for ES
Advice: Test drive everythingNot as much pick up as I was used to, but is better than I expected for a four cylinder. Pretty quiet inside and the AC works good at top speeds.
Pros: Mechanical performance of the vehicle.
Cons: Uncomfortable back seat area and the plastic used in the vehicle is of fair quality, because it scratches easily.
Advice: Buy only if you do not have children to consider. This is not a family friendly vehicle.Handles superbly. Excellent performance and handling. Corners well.
Pros: The sound system
Cons: parts of my dashboard are blue (could be to compliment the exterior color)
Advice: Find a good dealer (mine actually beat the price I told him I'd pay and then went and found what I wanted)Beautiful Car...I managed to get the difficult to find Steel Blue Pearl color. Sometimes I feel a bit confined, surprisingly just when I'm in the car alone. I put another friend in and it feels comfortable (weird, I know). The other day, I heard a kid yell 'That's my car' and he was pointing at me!!! I would consider your needs with this one, however (luggage, possiblity of kids and car seats in the future, etc.). Got a stick, too, and I'm basically learning on the car....it's very forgiving!!!
Pros: The sporty look.
Cons: The blind spots and the lack of passenger seating in the back.
Advice: Make sure this is what you are really looking for before you sign on the dotted line.Overall I like the car but I don't love it. I would not buy another one. I also wish I had gone with the Spider. I traded in a Honda Accord Coupe for the Eclipse. The Accord is by far a better car. I will probably only keep the car for, at the most, 3 years and then trade it in or sell it.
