All-around great car
Pros: Luxurious ride and 21 mpg city, 28 highway
Cons: No negativesAt 50,000 miles now, never had to have anytihng repaired, just normal maintenance. Previous car was Lincoln Continental and the Mercury was a better car. I've had Buick, Olds, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Toyota. Ford and this is the best. Now they no longer make them - what a shame
Pros: Quiet ride
Cons: NAJust under 50,000 miles and never had to have anything fixed on it. Just normal maintenance. 22 mpg overall and highway as much as 28 mpg. It's a sin they will no longer make Mercurys.
Love My Mercury
Cons: nothingI have owned 4 Mercury Grand Marquis LS's in the past yrs. & have enjoyed all of them. I drove Ford LTD's for several yrs. but tried the Mercury & like them better. It is equipped with everything I need. The one I own now is a Arizona Beige color with tan interior & I'm seeking another one with less miles & a newer model.
Pros: Very few if any blind spots.
Cons: Road noise level and wind noise
Advice: Buy replacement carpet of better quality and use a lot of sound proofingI bought a 2004 Mercury Marquis Ultimate Edition this is the 4th Marquis I have owned and probably the last. This is the most noise one to date. The road noise and wind noise is terrible. The carpeting is cheat and of inferior materials with no padding to buffer noise. There is not soundproofing of and kind than I can find. I had the car undercoated but find no improvement in quiteness. Quite ride was once Mercury's big selling point not any longer.
