2007 Mercedes-Benz SLK 350
Pros: the style
Cons: the cruise control set up - I often hit the cruise control instead of my turn signal.I love my car! I bought it new in 2007, and I have put 20,000 miles on it. I love the way it drives, I enjoy the ease of the convertible hard top operation, and I especially like the gas mileage. It gets about 20 miles per gallon in town and 30 on the highway (cruising at about 60 -65 miles per hour). It is also relatively simple to operate. So far, I have had no mechanical issues. We'll see what happens when the warranty runs out.
best car every had
Pros: shifting auto trans manually
Cons: no std leather seats on 58k auto! This is the 6th new Mercedes I've had. By far the best one yet.
What's up with the Mercedes C320
Pros: safety features, body style, and the weight of the car
Cons: The way the car jerks sometimes, when excelleratingI have owned my mercedes C320 for three years and going into the third year, I began to experience a jerking (transmission/timing) type of problem. Took the car in for service and to this day, the problem still exists. The dealership service department claim they checked the transmission and cleaned the transmission, the fluid level was fine. But when I had to take it in for service six months later, they claimed that I needed a transmission flush. Now I just want out of this car all together.
They got it right
Pros: Driving it
Cons: lack of memory seats- corrected in 2009 modelBought the C300 Luxury edition new loaded with all options except 4matic, leather and panorama sunroof. Fantastic telematics and air conditioning. Car is a pleasure to drive and is getting 20-25 mph in town and 28-30 highway on E10 gasoline.
Pros: Cruise control
Cons: Cup holders are difficult to useThe only car I have ever owned that still has zero defects and the dealer service and attention is superb
You Gotta own a Merc...
Pros: GPS, Bluetooth
Cons: I can't think of anythingThis is the second Mercedes that I have owned and is by far the better of the two...The first being a 2006 S-Class...This car has the correct balance of economy, handling and luxury an extremely comfortable road car that can corner and averages 24 mpg...I have most of the options and the sport package...I would buy another and I don't think that I will ever have anything but a Mercedes...Dick Butz
My favorite Benz, ever.
Pros: that Mercedes look and feel
Cons: smallish backseatThis is my 5th Mercedes since '84 (2E-class, 2 C-class and 1 T-class [wagon], and I keep them forever) and this one is the best all round for style, size, creature comforts, performance. It seems quite a bit bigger than the last C-class, although the back seat can be a bit snug. When I first saw the large Mecedes logo in the grill I was a little turned off, but it really grows on you and now I really love it. The AMG-ish touches are really dramatic and dare I say, cool (I'm dating myself I believe). And I got the 4-matic which is really, really a must north of the M-D line. I can't imagine a better car.
