The 3.2 engine is very strong in a roadster this size. This car is just plain fun!

    2003 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class - Base

Pros: easy top to get up or down... and looks of the vehicle

Cons: size... could be a little larger

    Advice: buy it

This is a very fast car. It handles well around curves. It is a car that is incredibly fun to drive. I was looking for a larger car, but I test drove this one and it made my heart come alive. The convertible is a breeze so to speak... with one quick push of a button you have a coupe and then a topless beauty. The car is also incredibly quiet on the highway. When the top is up... you will be very surprised. Enjoy!!!

    2003 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class - Base

    Pros: Retractable Hardtop

Cons: The doors are very long!

Advice: Buy it! In comparison with the competition it definitely gives the most car for the buck.

This is an amazingly fun car to drive. Mercedes knew exactly what they were doing when they designed this car, it has all the right elements of a roadster (especially if you get the V6 or AMG). I have had many other roadsters, and this is by far the best one yet. And with the built-in hardtop you have both a coupe and covertible, all in one car. If you have ever owned a sports car this is something that you always had to decide between. This is a great car, I will be keeping this one for a while!

    2002 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class - Base

Pros: Definitely the power convertible hard top.

Cons: I don't have time to drive it as much as I would like to.

Advice: Get the AMG sport package; the 17' wheels and low profile high performance tires really add to the handling.

This is an amazing car; what fun to drive. It handles as well as a BMW 330 or Z3 and has a much more comfortable ride. You can easily turn corners at 30 mph in 3rd gear. The acceleration is great (0 to 60 in 6.6 sec.); if you have an extra $10K you can spring for for the SLK32 AMG to cut 1.8 sec. off. With the voice activated phone, you can also control the CD, radio and tape by voice command. The best feature is the power hard top. With the top up, it looks and rides (very quiet) like a coupe. With the top down, its a typical two-seater convertible. It takes only 25 sec. to lower the top. With the top up you have a full 9.5 cubic feet of trunk space.
