    2002 Mercedes-Benz C-Class - C230 Coupe

    Pros: six speed transmission

Cons: instrument cluster: no temp guage and small tach

Advice: get the sun roof and six speed

Great gas mileage with the six speed transmission. The hatchback feature is great for carrying everything from bikes (we can carry two without removal of any bike tires.) German engineering is exceptional. If you drive in snow you must get snow tires (four of them.) The car handles very well.

    2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class - Base E320 RWD Sedan

    Pros: Styling

Cons: I have not found any inefficiencies!

Advice: Buy the 2002, the 2003 is restyled like the C and S class!

The E320 Special Edition is the nicest car I have even driven. It is smooth and luxurious. Do not be mistaken, this is not a baby boomers car, it is perfect for all ages. I am 30 and this car does it all for me!

    2002 Mercedes-Benz C-Class - C240 Sedan

Pros: Comfort & the way it drives

Cons: That its not a convertible :(

Advice: Deal! The MB dealer I dealt with was hungry. Got the car for invoice!

Love the new look of the c240. Its not the old conservative look of the Mercedes my mom drove.

    2002 Mercedes-Benz C-Class - C32 AMG Sedan

Pros: Speed, Incredible performance and Brakes too. We accelerated smoothly over 3 miles without a full throttle push and at 140 the C32 was still pulling strong...but the road was running out. Be back after the next oil change and the break in period.

Cons: A little small - when you come out an S-Class - not enough room to go fast...

Advice: Look at GS430, M3, Infiniti and the Cadillac CTS... Only the CTS for its pricing came close. The others were just so expensive it was hard to justify. Wonder about the new Maruader by Lincoln but Black not in Texas...

After buying my C32, all I have to say is does anyone want to buy a: 2001 Corvette Convertible, Brilliant Silver with Black convertible top, Gray Sports Seats leather interior, 2,900 miles of weekend driving - perfect, Loaded, Bose CD sound, 4 speed Automatic (incredibly good gas mileage), Heads up display of instruments, Mid level suspension, Chrome wheels, Memory Package and more. Mobil 1, 3/36,000 warranty, $54k new, sell for? No stories, damage or insurance repairs, Trade for something weird. This car is incredible. I never drive the Corvette anymore. I go to eBay and C32's often and consider buying another???

    2002 Mercedes-Benz M-Class - Base

    Pros: Handling and power.

Cons: CD changer in rear requires some planning.

Advice: Know your prices, there are discounts.

After testing most of the top rated mid-sized SUVs, I settled on the ML. I cannot imagine who writes the negative reviews I found, because this was by far the nicest car and the best value out there. The Mercedes dealer was low pressure but high service (unlike Acura -- they wanted me to feel I was lucky to buy one!) The car feels safe, solid and luxurious, but not in a superfluous way...no useless bells and whistles, but nothing missing either. It's quiet, fast, and smooth, especially considering it is a truck-based vehicle. Our overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.

    2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class - Base E320 RWD Sedan

    Pros: Computer and rain sensor

    Cons: No automatic headlights

Advice: Be sure to bargain, they'll sell it to you for sticker if you let them.

This vehicle manages to combine comfort, power and efficiency. The prior vehicle was a C280. Although a significantly smaller car, I find that the fuel economy is almost identical. But the passing and acceleration power are world's apart. And the transmission is so velvety smooth.
