2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class Now on Sale

Looking to offer a strong 1-2 punch in the quickly growing market for premium-brand compact sedans and SUVs, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class is now at M-B dealerships nationwide for customers of the latter.

Pricing for the line currently starts at $33,300, but note: That MSRP is for the GLA250 4MATIC, with Mercedes' next-gen all-wheel drive system; a lower-cost front-wheel drive member of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class will launch in 2015 with pricing that has yet to be determined. Each will be motivated by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that makes 208 hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, with a full range of Mercedes connectivity and safety features on the menu, too. There also is an AMG version of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class—the GLA45—and it's available now as well, serving up both a 355 hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an MSRP of $48,300.

And remember, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class is just one part of a two-pronged effort to establish the brand as a top player among premium compacts, and that first entry, the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class, has certainly gotten off to a hot start. In fact, in its first August at dealerships, the CLA roster outsold the much-hyped Audi A3 by more than 12 percent, delivering 2,722 units to the Audi's 2,430.
