Advice: Good choise for a classy uniquely styles vehicle..Bought new in 2004. Have driven 44,000 trouble-free miles. Car gets looks everywhere I go, people I don't even know in my local area know my car. I get complements about it's styling waiting on line for coffee! Is fast enough, but not a rocket (the 500 is), seats are very nice. I drive in snow, just change to snow tires. I find it an excellent winter car. Convertable top operation is fast and convienent. Has actually been quite cheap to maintain needing only routine services.

Advice: Bypass this vehicleI test drove this vehicle and I was say that I wasn't as impressed as I usually am when I test drive new Mercedes Benz. This car just was not comfortable to drive.

Advice: If you want to be able to put the whole family in a car that will smoke a standard Porsche 997, (on the street, not the race track) this is it.My 2007 CLK 550 is the greatest all around road car I have ever owned. Understated, and underestimated. 8 hour days in this car are not unusual for me and I still don't want to get out of it. 8 hours in my 2004 BMW 525i and I was looking for a pain killer. The CLK's suspension is a little soft for a sports car, I replaced the stock springs with a stiffer set from H&R. They compliment the valving of the sport suspension very well, lower the car about an inch, and don't make it too stiff. The power from the 5.5 engine is stunning. Faster than my 996 Porsche Carrera S. The brakes are very good, they do require a little more pedal force than I expected though. The transmission is great if smooth is your thing, I wish it shifted much faster, as you really can't control the timing well enough to use it in 'race car mode'. After 100k in the Porsche and only 1 track day, I have come to the conclusion that my priorities should be a little more realistic and in tune with real world driving. Make no mistake though, there are very few cars that can beat a CLK 550 from 0-100mph. The 2007 BMW M5 that I stayed side by side with from 5 - 120 mph, can attest to that.
Advice: run and buy the Chrysler instead. Same carCar is a piece of junk. Stays in the shop, at once, every other month. Customer service is horrible. Luxury prices poor service and performance.
Advice: Great CarHave owned the CLK 350 for 60 days and it is great. Never expected this performance out of a V-6 coupe.

Advice: get a mechanic to check it before buying itI purchased a 2004 CLK 320 today with 17,800 miles on it. I drove it for 1 hour and it broke. The check engine light came on and the car won't shift out of gear. so you can only go 30 miles per hour and i am waiting on the dealer to come get it on a tow truck. i want to return this car. horrible experience.

Advice: Good luck finding one.Awesome car, great power while achieving an unbelievably comfortable ride. Blows away the Lexus SC430, the Porsche Boxter and the BMW 645ci. Actually has a rear seat that you can utilize. Keyless entry is a wonderful feature. Only downside is no navigation system that is standard and separate 6-CD Disc changer that is in the glovebox. The V-8 purrs and has plenty of getty-up and go. I'm over 6 feet tall and this one fits perfectly while accomodating the wife and kids if necessary.
