    2004 Mazda MAZDASPEED MX-5 Miata - Base

    Pros: Styling inside and out.

Cons: Horrible rearward visibility, especially in blind spots...small standard rearview mirror

Advice: Put this car last on your test drive list and you'll see what you've been missing.

This vehicle makes me giggle! Never did I think I would own an 'entry level' car and have it of this build quality and perfromance...with great looks to boot. Most bang for the buck BY FAR!!!!!! At work, people would ask whose little red sports car that is in the lot...imagine that....sports car!!! IT's a 4-door compact sedan! That tells you that this car screams 'performance' and delivers ten-fold!! I LOVE IT!!!! Stays flat in corners and it an absolute blast to drive on twisty roads. 2.3 liter 4 will blow away competition. We also looked at the Toyota Corolla. While nice, it just seemd too...geriatric maybe? We actually chose this car over a Subaru WRX...The interior is handsomely executed with great night lighting.

    2004 Mazda MAZDASPEED MX-5 Miata - Base

    Pros: Turbo

    Cons: Only 2 color choices

Advice: Just go for a Test Drive

Just unbelievable. You got to drive one, to fully understand. Tons of power. Build quality is second to none. Seating comfort is O.K. but then again, you didn't buy a Cadillac here, this is a high performance vehicle. (Suspension is very firm). Everything about the car is well thought out. Price wise, it's a steal. No competition whatsoever.

    2004 Mazda RX-8 - 6 Speed Manual (M6)

    Pros: +5500RMP romp, unbelievable handling

Cons: Squeaky breaks, no dial speedometer

Advice: If you are looking for a sports car don't even consider the AT. Get the GT package.

Very responsive handling, braking. Power is definately best after 5500 RPM--considerably sluggish in the 2-4k range. Breaks squeak with mid-pressure (a very common complaint) which has been difficult to fix. Rotaries have some quirks--let it warm up, don't do a 'quick back out of the driveway or you will flood engine (requires a tow and 6 hours of reconditioning). Overall, for the money it would be very difficult to get the acceleration, handling and looks of the Rx-8 MT. For all its quirks I love it!

    2004 Mazda RX-8 - 6 Speed Manual (M6)

    Pros: Dynamic stability

    Cons: Gas consumption

Advice: Drive the 350Z. You will love the ride of the RX 8

Smooth ride with great support. Seats four with comfort and the Bose sound is amazing. This car is a complete package but gas mileage is not as reported by the sticker even with easy driving. I still love the car.

    2004 Mazda RX-8 - 6 Speed Manual (M6)

    Pros: sporty

    Cons: no spare

    Advice: IF possible, Buy It!

I loved the pick-up and handling. I was disappointed in the fact that there was no spare. If a person were to blow a tire a flat tire fix kit will not do. The car is absolutely perfect. The back seat fit my 6 foot plus husband during the test drive. We are sold this is our next car.

    2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata - Shinsen (M5)

    Pros: Convertible top.

Cons: Roominess and ease of entry.

    Advice: Enjoy it.

I have been waiting to buy this car for 4 years. Finally my husband surprised me on Valentine's Day. Got a great deal at the Lake City Mazda dealer.....couldn't even buy a used one for the price we paid. The Shinsen is a real head turner.....the color is rare and the groud effects are great. Good gas mileage and best of all....Fun To Drive...I took it to the North Carolina mountains and it cornered beautifully. Great car for Mid Lifers who want to experience their youth without too high of a price.

    2004 Mazda MAZDASPEED MX-5 Miata - Base

    Pros: Power and handling

Cons: Having to cover the top when it's down

    Advice: Test drive one

Just picked my up Saturday. I had a RSX S before and so far I don't regret the change at all. The MazdaSpeed Miata is the most fun I've had in a long time on two wheels. The modifications made make the following: Turbo: Excellent midrange and overall acceleration Bilsteins and other suspension mods: Excellent handling, but don't expect a totally smooth drive, but then you shouldn't care if your interested in this car. Styling: Very appealing and gets away from a total 'chick' car appearance. Six speed matched gear box: Typical Miata feeling but even more solid and smooth. Wheels and Tires: Hart racing and Toyo 240/40/17's make for a great look and unbelivable handling. (wonder how long they'll last). Bose 225 Watt Stereo: No worries here to hear the music with the top down.
