Four Fun and Affordable New Convertibles
Summer is almost here and what better way to enjoy the open road than in a convertible? Put the top down, cruise your favorite streets and feel as carefree as the wind that's blowing through your hair. What's the best part about it all? You don't have to shell out the big bucks to enjoy a new convertible car. There are plenty of expensive luxury and/or exotic sports cars that are available in a convertible top, but there are plenty of budget-friendly 2010 convertibles out there to be had and enjoyed.
For fun and affordable in a convertible model, there are more than a few cheap convertibles under the $35,000 price level. While most convertible models are in the luxury class, there are several that are easy on the wallet and include plenty of comfortable amenities.
If none of these affordable convertibles fit your style, you could always hold out for the newest convertible Chevrolet Camaro.
2010 Mazda MX-5 Miata
The Mazda Miata has been a favorite convertible for several years. It's quick, sporty, easy on the budget and gets great gas mileage. With 22 miles per gallon city and 28 miles per gallon highway and a starting MSRP of $22,810, it's a very good contender for the best convertible for your money.
2010 Ford Mustang
The 2010 Ford Mustang has been a long-standing popular convertible model, going back several decades. The 2010 Ford Mustang convertible brings with it 18 miles per gallon city, 26 miles per gallon highway, an MSRP of between $21,395 and $36,395 depending on your choices, and a refreshed look and feel for this model year.
2010 MINI Cooper Convertible
A 2010 MINI Cooper Convertible not only has eye-catching unique looks, it's got great performance capabilities and great gas mileage (28 miles per gallon city and 37 miles per gallon highway).
2010 Mitsubishi Eclipse
The 2010 Mitsubishi Eclipse is an affordable, budget-friendly, easy-on-the-gas convertible. The starting MSRP is around $20,699 and the fuel economy comes down to 20 miles per gallon city and 28 miles per gallon highway. Not too fantastic, but better than some with sporty looks and tame performance, the 2010 Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible is a safe middle-ground choice.
