    2002 Mazda MPV - ES

    Pros: Automatic Dual Sliding Doors

    Cons: Small trunk space.

Advice: Other minivans felt BIG/wide, MPV feels slim and sporty.

It drives smoothly and handles curves pretty good. I wish the air conditioning could be stronger. After 1 year of ownership, there have been no mechanical problems. The only problem I have had was replacing a flat tire since most stores don't stock that size I had to special order it and drive around with the little spare tire a few days.

    2002 Mazda MPV - LX

    Pros: Handling and size.

    Cons: Constant exhaust odors

    Advice: Do not buy.

Handles and drives well. Has major 'rotten egg' exhaust converter problem which Mazda cannot fix. A number of other MPV`s have the same problem

    2002 Mazda MPV - LX

Pros: drivability, stowable rear seat, lowering middle side windows.

Cons: front passenger head-rest is tough to sleep on long trips.... picky picky!

Advice: Shop! compare to the others.... Mazda dealers WILL deal agressively.

We've owned the '02 MPV for almost a year and have had 10,500 great miles from it. The van drives better than those I copared it to (Pontiac and Toyota). My wife sat in a Honda and promptly announced, 'I'm NOT driving a school bus!'... end of that test drive. THe look on Honda saleman's face was great! We've been on a couple 1,000 and 700 mile trips, with 2 kids, with lots of stuff. We'll not likely to ever use that cartop carrier again! Wifey uses the van daily, shuttling kiddos and people, running errands and loves it. It's comfortable for her tiny 5'-0' and my umm, more ample 6'-0' builds, gets 23-24 mpg on the highway at 75 mph, is nimble in town parking and looks decent for a minivan (can't give a minivan 5/5 on looks). Mazda did a great job at copying good features from others and incorporating them. The rear seat is great... used often up and down. Mid windows that lower are GREAT! Note: My other vehicle is a 1989 Toyota pickup.. the site wouldn't go that early!

    2002 Mazda MPV - ES

Pros: The way it drives not a big brick going through the wind.....zoom zoom

Cons: Not enough plugs and the cup holders in wrong spots? no entertainment built in?

    Advice: Just get it

Well lets say that I have looked for a minivan for 2 years. I think mazda had me in mind. Its got some get up and go. And guess what it has a MOONROOF!!!! And tumble under seats WATCH OUT HONDA!!GGGRRRRR The only thing that it doesn't have is Homelink boo hoo. And it needs more outlets for the kids? What will they do? I love the way it gets into small spaces... And it has leather/and all the goodies. For sticker 29,000 And 0% interest!!Got to love that. And they deal on the sticker.. Shame on you Honda!!

    2002 Mazda MPV - ES

Pros: Fit and finish. Our kids love the second row power windows and large moonroof.

Cons: There is nothing so far.

Advice: Don't automatically get lured by the competitions large incentives. Compare options and features with the MPV.

This is a fun vehicle to drive. How many mini vans can you say that about? Performance and handling are top notch(extremely smooth transmission) as is the quality that is felt throughout. Besides being the best looking mini van on the road, it is one of the safest. Before you buy, compare with the competition: quality and reliability(do the homework), safety, unique features and great amenities standard/offered, and a great driving experience. Your kids will love you and get fresh air all at once.
