    2006 Mazda MAZDA3

    Fun to Drive

Pros: Performance, styling, heated leather seats

Cons: Gas milage would be better if I would slow down. :-)

For some reason, the 2006 was a great model year for the Mazda 3s. It was well-built, affordable, and just a solid vehicle. The performance and handling makes it a great deal of fun to drive around town or basically any winding road. The ride is definately performance tuned, which means that it is a little rough at times. Also, the performance meas that the gas mileage is not what it should be. But the fun factor more than makes up for it!

    2006 Mazda MAZDA3

    Mazda3 = Zoom Zoom

    Pros: Seriously fun to drive

Cons: The city gas mileage is not great.

This is one fun-to-drive car! It is sporty, quick, and handles really well. The ride is noticeably more stiff than the Mazda6. It accelerates, corners, and stops very well. I was pleasantly surprised that a 2.3 4-cylinder engine could have that much zip. Even now that it has over 120,000 miles on it!

    2006 Mazda MAZDA3 - Touring (M5) Hatchback

    Pros: Handling

    Cons: Poor quality

    Advice: Buy a Honda

Zoom Zoom, then break down. After 24,500 miles my car was diagnosed with a failed wrist pin--a major engine failure. I love the car up to that point. Mazda corporate is a nightmare to work with on a warranty issue. Months of delays. A little web research revealed that JD Power gives Mazda a low quality rating. I have also come across a number of owner reviews that talk about engine click problems. Think twice about buying any Mazda.

    2006 Mazda MAZDA3 - i (M5) Sedan

    Pros: the drivability

    Cons: the wimpy horn

Advice: drive a civic, sentra, corolla, 318i, A4...then drive the mazda3 and you will buy the mazda3

I bought a new 2009 mazda 3i value edition 5 speed stick in April 2009 since they are such a good deal. The new model Mazda3 is out and dealers are trying to unload this older bodystyle. Plus they are starving anyway. I got it for $14,900 OTD with the trade of an old beater worth about $500. This is my second mazda having owned a 1996 millenia which has given me 167,000 trouble free miles and still runs like new (I still drive it). I almost forgot how much fun a stickshift is to drive and this is the perfect car for it. It's fast, nimble and economical. It is the only car in this price range that has the following features which I was shopping for: 1. twin cam 4 cylinder 2. 4 wheel independent suspension 3. 4 wheel disk brakes with ABS and alloy wheels 4. good fuel economy 5. 4 doors but sporty performance & styling 6. assembled in japan 7. alarm/power windows/locks a/c remote cool bells& whistles

    2006 Mazda MAZDA3 - i (M5) Sedan

    Pros: Performance

    Cons: A/C

    Advice: Great investment, highly recommended!

I looooooove my Mazda 3i!! I have been through a number of vehicles...Honda, Ford, Mitsubishi and my Mazda by far outranks them all!! This is the best vehicle I have ever owned. I bought my car brand new with only 7 miles on it in March of 2006, it is now almost 2009 with 30,000 miles and I haven't had one problem. The only down part is like others have previously stated, the ac doesn't get really cold only cool...kind of a bummer on those 90 degree plus days. It sometimes sticks a little when I try to shift into reverse and I have noticed the clutch needs to be let out more than usual in that case. Otherwise, I wouldn't trade this car for anything!! Best investment!!

    2006 Mazda MAZDA3 - (M5) Hatchback

Pros: Lots of options for a car in this price range

Cons: No auto door locking when the car starts, no power seats

Advice: Don't bother with anything else.

Very Sport. Love the Sirius satalite radio. XM sucks!!! Navigation is a cool toy, and the overall style of the vehicle rocks!!

    2006 Mazda MAZDA3 - i (M5) Sedan

Pros: The design- very sporty looking

    Cons: air conditioning

Advice: i would highly recomend this car to anyone

I bought my 2006 mazda 3 about 9 months ago and have 17,000 miles on it and absolutly love it. The only complaint I have about it is the air conditioning..... If you live in a hot state, beware. I live in ohio, which doesn't get over like, 90 degrees, and it only gets cool in my car. I have to keep it on full blast. I drove a lot of other cars, and this without a doubt was the best choice. It looks sporty, handles good, and has an all around good feel to it.
