    2007 Mazda CX-7 - Grand Touring FWD

Pros: Love the leather seats and controls on the steering wheel.

Cons: Changing a CD in the 6 CD changer--a long reach...

Advice: We bought ours for 5K off the sticker...deal hard with your dealer if you can.

Had this CX-7 for two weeks and it gets better every day! Performance is great with the turbo 2.3 4. Who needs a 6? Handling on our bumpy Missouri roads is precise and the ride is excellent. This is my second Mazda (the first being a Mazda3) and it won't be my last.

    2007 Mazda CX-7 - Grand Touring FWD

    Pros: seating and controls

Cons: some cheap interior materials around dash

Advice: buy it or lease it - great vehicle

Traded a Mazda 3 for the CX 7 and it's just as much fun to drive. Great handling, plenty of power, good use of space and generally a enjoyable vehicle. I've had many Mazdas and this one is just as zoom zoom as the others, including a Miata some years ago.

    2007 Mazda CX-7 - Sport FWD

    Pros: Appearance

Cons: Black 'cloth look' feature down the middle of seats.

Advice: Make sure that the money spent on 'upgrades' is really that important to you. There is a pretty significant gap in pricing.

Rather Zippy, fun to drive. Does seem to be a bit more 'road noise' than others I have owned.

    2007 Mazda CX-7 - Grand Touring AWD

Pros: Rear camera and dark floor carpet regardless on the my light leather interior.

Cons: Mazda no longer has the carmel leather interior. I had to settle for Sand.

Advice: Drive it yourself before reading all the reviews and make your own decisions

Great price, great drive and great look. And on the comment regarding no MP3 auxillary input, well this is a dealer install option. I mentioned this to my sales person (as this was the deciding factor between this and the Ford Edge) and they installed it for me, free of charge (and threw in some all weather mats).

    2007 Mazda CX-7 - Sport FWD

    Pros: Exterior design

    Cons: bad performance

Advice: Do Not Buy until you are assured that Mazda has addressed the shutter valve problem.

I'm an actual owner. The car has a defective shutter valve which gets gummed up and permanently stuck after driving it for just a couple hundred miles. The car performs great up until this point. Afterwards, performance decreases markedly. I was informed, at first, that the part would be replaced. Recently, however, they told me they wouldn't replace the part, they're just going to put 'a little grease' on it since (they said) all the CX7's have this defect.

    2007 Mazda CX-7 - Grand Touring FWD

    Pros: It's a head turner.

Cons: No bluetooth or mp3 connectivity.

Advice: Drive it. It is worth your time and consideration. I have no regrets.

You sit so high, you feel like you are driving a much larger vehicle than it is. I went from a sporty, zippy Saab to this and haven't missed a beat in my commute. Cornering is great! It's a fast little thing. Braking is excellent. Switching cd play in the changer could be more ergonomic - - the buttons are on the right side of the center console, the steering wheel controls only allow you to change the track. Bose Sound has been a definite plus. Ask for a program vehicle. I received an unbelievable deal on it because it had 5900 miles. They also extended my warranty and road side as part of the deal.
