Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
As one who has owned cars from Chrevrolets to Cadillacs I have found the Avalon to be the most comfortable and economical car of all. I have owned. All have been very dependable. 2 were given to my kids after my use. All have had at least 160,000 trouble-free miles.
I smile every time I drive it !
Performance: quick/fast pick up. Handles like a sports car, responsive steering, tight turning radius..no 'top heavy' feeling of a sense of an eminent roll-over...as felt in many/most SUV's. Very quiet, NO road noise, comfortable seating...makes for easy enjoyable drive. My previous car-a Lincoln 5.0L v8, 17mpg town, 25 hwy. This Aviator has same 'improved' engine. Only Disappointment: even using Lucas Oil, premium+octane booster. STILL: 11.4 mpg..town, hwy, uphill, or downhill consistently!
Size is perfect. Plenty of cabin room for 4 adults. Lots of head room. Only car close is the Bentley GTC for $130K more. I'll take the E350A.
A year into ownership I still like this car more every time I get into it. Magnificent interior with supportive yet extremely comfortable seats. Quiet, too. Supercharged six has plenty of power available immediately without turbo lag. Averaging 23 mpg in mostly suburban driving. Many admiring comments from people about the car's stunning design and looks. Looked at both Lexus and Mercedes before purchasing. The Jag leaves them both far behind.
Despite Consumer Reports generally negative rating, my XC-90 has earned its license plate (XTC90). Since picking it up at the factory in May 2004, we've driven it in all conditions without major problems. Aside from a recalled leaking fuelpump, the only issues have been unexpected dumbshit poor-design ones i.e., gearshift lever jammed in park, sunroof drains plugged up and overflowed inside the cabin and alarm system malfunctioned in the middle of the night. At 90k miles, looking for 3million
325 CIC Sport not a soft ride, as it has the sport package. its a great drive.
