2004 Lincoln Navigator - Ultimate (220A) 4x4
Submitted on 1/20/2007 9:05:19 AM- Summary
Pros: Sound System GPS, brakes, and handling of a huge SUV
Cons: Navigation system should have usable menus at speed rather than only at a full stop.
Advice: Try and get an Ultimate version and forget the 2WD version
This is our 2nd Navigator. Over the 39 months we have leased it, nothing has failed to operate, or require any dealer service other than routine servicing. Dealer Service is outstanding, in and out in less than three to four hours for servicing. We drove it from NY to Omaha in 23 driving hours. Never felt a trip either long distance, or within New York City tiresome. In 48 hours we take delivery of our third Navigator. We can never understand the poor reviews. All of our gators have been great.

2003 Lincoln Navigator - Luxury (100A) 4x2
Submitted on 8/15/2006 9:09:36 AM- Summary
Pros: Easy Drive and COmfort
Cons: Fuel consumption
Advice: Great Car
I leased a 2003 Navigator and am trying to decide whether to buy this one out or roll into a new lease. It has 47000 on the clock. Despite reading many reports to the contrary, and being heavily dissuaded to keep the vehicle by the Lincoln service department ( without buying an additional warranty), the vehicle has been nothing short of superb. I am very tempted to buy the lease out. I have had few problems , the cold seat on the drivers side has been a bit hit and miss, but apart from that it has been very very reliable. Did I just get lucky ?

Pros: The Ride
Cons: The Window switches
Advice: Its a great vehicle better than the ford Expedition and there the same company
Its the best vehicles you can buy. I go with Family to D.F wich is in Mexico and the ride is so Smooth you will believe that your actually floating on a cloud.Gas is good but its better than the suburban i had. Its so comfortable some of my family members actually bought one. The rear seats are the most comfortable ones especially the captain chairs. The window switches are confusing but is something you can get used to. The power tailgate is really usable especially when your on vacation and your have your hands full. The navigation System is great i actually bought a dvd with the region of mexico and its was the best it showed me the shorcuts and lesser time without paying tolls some you had cause the Libre (Free ) are actually bad but we didnt feel a bump at all. braking is strong acceleration is unsurpased when passing a big truck you step on it and without noticing you already at 100mph. when towing my travel trailer wich is 27 footer and weights around 8,500lbs. We love it the never tilts back when towing the air suspension raises the rear to level it. We love it people actually have comed and asks us what company makes this vehicle. Its so smoother and better than a susburban the subur bounces on the mexican freeways like a grasshopper. The Xenon headlight are the best feature especially in mexico at night the freeways are so dark that halogen headlamps you have to put at high beams but in xenon you dont its basically a high beam halogen but more visibility and more color. anyways but its great i recommend it especially if you like to travel a lot. like the commercial says ''Lincoln Travel Well''

Superb vehicle, the best smooth, confortable suv on the market, great gas mileage for its size especially a 4x4 i get around 13-15city and 18-22hwy on 2wd mode, it tows up to 8,900lbs, and it never lowers the rear when towing my 7,500lb travel trailer, the seats have heaters and coolers, love the DVD Navigation system, its the best vehicle you could buy, you can get 520miles in 1 full tank, never bounces on the freeways especially the one from L.A to Vegas.

2004 Lincoln Navigator - Ultimate (120A) 4x2

Pros: Looks
Cons: Gas Milage
Advice: I would recommend the vehicle, however, check the service record of your dealer as some appear to not want to honor warrant work.
This is my first large American made SUV. The last four have all been Landcruisers, 93, 97, 2000, and 2002. The handling is excellent for such an large SUV. The ride is smooth, and very comfortable. As I look around the vehicle, I see that its build quality very good. I purchased the new 04 in January of 05, and now have 11000 miles after 7 months of driving. I initially had a problem with defective tires, and they were promptly replaced, this was on my third day of ownership. The only other non-routine service was a crack in the drivers side rearview mirror frame, and it was replace under warranty. Gas milage has been on par with my cruiser with an average of 14 miles per gallon. I like the vehicle, and purhcased it for its size, looks, and handling. The vehicle is black and the AC works great in the hot Phoenix heat. I did not know what to expect with respect to quality, however, it appears that the initial quality on my unit is good.
