    2002 Lincoln LS - V8 Auto Premium (210A)

    Pros: SST Tranny

Cons: None that I can find.

Advice: Test drive it. Drive it exactly like you would in your everyday routine. Don't 'baby' it because the salesman is in the other seat.

I've owned my 2002 LS for about 2 months. I bought it with used, with 44,000 miles on it. But thus far, I've been VERY impressed with the performance. Acceleration & stopping power is very good. Comfort is very good. I have not found a flaw yet. Others have posted 'wants' pertaining to more interior storage. My opinion is the more interior storage you have, the more stuff you will find when you do your scheduled cleaning. It's a car, not a suitcase on wheels.

    2002 Lincoln LS - V8 Auto Base (200A)

Pros: Color of the car: Gold Parchment

Cons: Lack of Comfort, durability, gas consumption, expensive to drive. Yada yada yada

Advice: Save your money... look elsewhere

In March of 2005, I will turn 46 years old. The Lincoln LS is the worst vehicle that I have ever owned since I started driving at age 16. For this to be a luxury car, the designers missed the boat. I am 5'11 and 190 pounds. If I drive the LS more than 25 miles, my legs go to sleep. I have to sit sideways in order to accelerate. Obviously, I did not foresee this long distance driving problem when I test drove it. It is also a gas guzzler. If you fill the tank with gas with less octane than 91, expect the engine light to come on. The appearance of the vehicle made it attractive. However, service calls back to an unresponsive dealership, made me vow to never lease/buy another vehicle from this location. Bottomline, it was not worth the money spent. In fact, Lincoln Mercury should provide me with a 10-thousand dollar rebate on my next Ford purchase, due to the pain and suffering endured with my 3-year nightmare with the LS. Right now, if I had my choice between the LS and a stagecoach, I'd jump in behind the horse any day! Shame on Lincoln Mercury. When it comes to this car, your engineers were sleep at the wheel.

    2002 Lincoln LS - V8 Auto Base (200A)

    Pros: 6 cd changer

Cons: the way it shifts, moisture sensor wipers, headrests, etc.

Advice: consider a different car other than a Lincoln. Lucky it's a lease!

I spend more time at the service department than I did with the Continental that I owned and half the time they don't fix the problems. The car BANGS into gear from 1st to 2nd to 3rd etc.... The wipers don't come on in a safe manner (with their wonderful sensor device) and this part was replaced once already. The passenger side mirror needed to be replaced. The front passenger seat heater/ cooler needed to be replaced. The front passenger window rattles since they changed the mirror and they had my car for almost 2 weeks...cause they 'ordered the wrong part again' and they still haven't fixed the rattle. The rubber gasket on the headlight keeps coming off. The headrest is in your blindspot no matter which position the seat is in unless it's laying flat.

    2003 Lincoln LS - V8 Premium Sport (222A)

    Pros: Electric parking brake

    Cons: throttle/trans lag

Advice: If you can wait till later in the year and take all rebates and incentives you get great deal.

Bought the V-8 for the price of Maxima. Car is solid, with excellent handling. This is basically an S-Type Jaguar, but at a more reasonable price. My only complaint is the slight lag in the throttle/transmission when you first hit the gas pedal. With the rebates and incentives this was an excellent buy.

    2003 Lincoln LS - V8 Sport (220A)

    Pros: HEATED AND COOLED SEATS

    Cons: MOISTURE SENSITIVE WIPERS

Advice: NOT A HEAD TURNER IN STYLE BUT FILLED WITH TECHNLOGY AND GOOD PERFORMENCE

PLENTY OF POWER OFF THE LINE IF YOU HAVE TO BUT TRANS LAGS WHEN YOU GO TO PASS OR MAKE A ROLLING TURN. I DON'T KNOW IF ITS A DOWNSHIFT PROBLEM OR THAT VARIABLE CAM TIMING. CORNERS VERY NICELY FOR A HEAVY CAR AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ASSIST WORKS WELL. STOP AND GO MILEAGE I GOT BY MYSELF IS AROUND 16 MPG EXTENDED HIGHWAY WITH 3 PASSENGERS WAS AROUND 24 TO 26 AT 60MPH. THE RIDE IS SOLID NOT LIKE A TOWNCAR BUT YOU GET A GOOD FEEL OF THE ROAD WITH THE VERY TIGHT AND ACCURITE STEERING.

    2003 Lincoln LS - V8 Premium Sport (222A)

Pros: The power from the V8 engine

Cons: I liked every thing on the car

Advice: Buy a New 2003 they have 3/36 oil changes and fluid replacement

This is one of the best lincolns I have ever owned, I've owned a 93 Mark 8 and a 98 Mark 8 and Lincoln has learned from those vehicles. They truly have put together an automobile that can compete with the Japanese and European sedans.

    2002 Lincoln LS - V8 Auto Sport (220A)

Pros: The V8 performance & styling

    Cons: high octane gas required

Advice: lease one for three years then turn it back after the lease

When I purchased my LS I had been working at a Lincoln dealer at the time as a sales manager. Never thought I would buy a ford product but did, only because of the great lease program at the time, as far as styling and performance the LS is great, but as far as durability it is terrible, I was the used car manager and saw two year old LS and was not impressed at all, and even the ones that came in for service, a mechanic asked me why did you buy one, last time I buy a ford product.
