The new 2015 Lexus NX is a compelling compact crossover, especially when it’s been decked out in the brand’s F SPORT performance trim. The exterior details immediately position the Lexus NX as a premium offering in the competitive crossover market, and should help draw younger buyers. Touches like the signature spindle grille with a mesh grille insert, LED daytime running lights, and dark chrome 18-inch wheels are helping the NX get a lot of attention, and the exclusive Ultrasonic Blue finish accentuates the car’s modern lines. Doug Herbert from Lexus College knows the 2015 NX inside and out, and shared the details with Autobytel. The chief engineer of the NX was inspired by the idea of “premium urban sports gear,” and designed the 200t F SPORT based on those qualities. According to the engineering team, the NX 200t should be upscale, ready for adventure, and indispensable. Some of the aesthetics and exterior technology are borrowed from motorcycle design for its sportiness and durability. The F SPORT model also gets exclusive interior details, such as high-bolstered sport seats, a perforated leather steering wheel and gear shift, and paddle shifters. The infotainment system is controlled by a new touchpad in the center console, and smartphones can be charged on a wireless charging pad.
