Lexus LFA Supercar Overview & Ride-Along Track Test with Scott Pruett

Autobytel had the opportunity to attend the Lexus #WhatstheF media event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which Lexus organized to bring attention to the brand’s performance potential, in addition to the luxury features that can be found on Lexus models. Not only did Autobytel’s editors get a close look at the Lexus F lineup of performance cars and F Sport factory accessories, the event provided valuable face time with professional drivers. One driver, Scott Pruett, has won the Rolex 24 Hour and several championships while driving for the Lexus team. He chatted with Autobytel about the Lexus LFA supercar for this video, and also offered a ride-along on the track. It was an insightful experience, because Scott Pruett was one of the first people to drive the Lexus LFA right out of the box, and at the time, there were only two examples of the Lexus LFA in the world. Of course, there was a lot of pressure to make sure the Lexus LFA escaped these test drives without being damaged, yet to demonstrate the car’s capability. Since the Lexus LFA went into production, most of the car’s buyers are people who already owned one or more exotic cars, but liked the idea of buying a supercar that could be driven on a daily basis.
