Minor Changes for the 2015 Lexus IS

One year after Lexus unveiled the redesigned IS lineup, it has announced some minor changes for the 2015 model.

The bulk of the changes occur inside as F-Sport models get heated and ventilated front seats, and F-Sport models equipped with all-wheel drive get a heated steering wheel. The Light Gray interior color has been replaced with Stratus Gray, while the window switches and instrument panel now come in a piano black finish.

Tech-wise, the IS gets Siri Eyes Free mode, which allows owners of the Apple iPhone 4S and 5 to issue voice commands for navigation, calendar, notifications, and music requests through the car’s Bluetooth system. Additionally, vehicles come equipped with Lexus Enform Remote which allows drivers to remotely view and control certain vehicle features via an app on their Android or iOS device, and dynamic gridlines on the backup camera to allow for easier backup navigation.

On the exterior, the IS gains LED foglights.

Lexus has yet to confirm when the IS will go on sale, but is expected to issue a statement within the next few weeks.
