Lexus Offers Discounts on F-Sport Performance Packages
New car buyers who are shopping for a Lexus IS or Lexus GS have the chance to upgrade their rides at a discount at the start of this summer. Lexus is offering several discount deals on its F-Sport accessory packages across the full lineup of Lexus IS models and the Lexus GS 350. For the IS, this even includes the Lexus IS convertible along with the IS coupe and IS sedan.
The F-Sport accessories that are being offered provide a good mix of performance and appearance. For drivers who are interested in improving how their Lexus handles through the corners, the F-Sport suspension kit has seen its MSRP slashed from $1,999 to a mere $1,450, which represents a savings of more than $500. The kit is quite comprehensive, and includes everything that Lexus IS or GS owners would need to completely alter the suspension of their vehicle for a more sporty driving experience. Lowering springs (knocking 1-inch off of the vehicle's ride height front and back), front and rear anti-sway bars (rear-only for all-wheel drive models) and a special chassis member brace designed to be mounted at the rear of the vehicle all contribute to a more controlled cornering experience.
If Lexus owners want to combine their lowering kit with a snazzy new set of wheels, the brand has also knocked $1,499 off of its combination F-Sport suspension kit, wheels and tires package. For $4,495 all models save the IS 250 AWD receive F-Sport forged 19-inch wheels that are wider at the rear than the front for a more aggressive stance, shod in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires. The Lexus IS 250 AWD benefits from 18-inch rims and Yokohama Advan S.4 all-season tires.
The most fully featured F-Sport package to benefit from Lexus' aggressive price reductions rolls all of the above together with the company's High Performance Brake Upgrade. The ultimate in stopping power from Lexus, this kit includes six-piston calipers up front and four-piston calipers in the rear, with cross-dilled rotors all around. The latter measure14-inches on the front two wheels and 13.6-inches out back. Grabby pads that have been specially designed to reduce brake dust are mounted at all four corners. Buyers pay $8,995 for the package, which is $1,479 less than its standard MSRP.
These Lexus F-Sport performance packages can be installed on any current 2006 and up Lexus IS or 2005 and up Lexus GS 350. The deal is good from June 1 to July 31, 2010, which gives Lexus owners plenty of time to benefit from these high performance rebates.
