The Iconic Luxury SUV Gets a Refresh
Land Rover has lightened the load on the all-new Range Rover, revealing a new look with an all-aluminium structure that reduces the weigh-in a full 20%.
Expected to be sold in 170 countries, the all-new Range Rover is Land Rover's answer to the environmental challenge of gas-guzzling SUV manufacturers everywhere. Introduced over 40 years ago, the new Range Rover Land Rover is touted as the world’s first SUV with a lightweight all-aluminium body structure, the decrease in weight will reduce CO2 emissions and raise the MPGs. The V8 model is approximately 700lbs lighter than the current model.
Rear legroom is increasing as well, giving the backseat passengers 4.7 inches of additional space. On the driver's side, the drive quality will be improved with adaptive dynamics suspension amd enhanced all-terrain performance with the new, fully automatic "Terrain Response 2®" system.
A hybrid version of the all-new Range Rover is said to be coming soon. MSRP has not yet been announced for any of the new models.
