Range Rover Sport SVR Has Some Track Fun

Land Rover is getting ready to launch the new, high performance Range Rover Sport SVR and has released a video showing off what this vehicle is capable of on the race track. Yes, we said race track.

A quick review: this vehicle comes to us from the Special Vehicle Operations Group at Jaguar Land Rover and boasts a Supercharged 5.0L V8 with 550 horsepower. There are a number of other changes including larger brakes, reworked suspension, and new stability control systems.

In the video, Jaguar Land Rover chief engineer of vehicle integrity, Mike Cross, shows off the SVR's “...adjustability, poise and body control.” It's as impressive as it sounds. 

“As this footage shows, the Range Rover Sport SVR takes this level of performance in its stride, displaying superb on-the-limit balance, even with its comprehensive range of electronic traction and stability aids turned off,” said Land Rover.
