Sorento EX V6
Pros: Outside appearance
Cons: Little room insideHave owned our Sorento for 5 weeks and about 1200 miles. Very good looking vehicle. Disappointed in the ride which is rough. The middle seats are good for short people and the third row seats might work for anyone under 4 foot tall. Front seats are very comfortable unless you have two adults in the back seat which means you have to move the front seats forward for the second row to have any legroom at all. This makes the front seats uncomfortable and I am only 5'10'. Roof rack is decorative only since crossbars are not available. Seat Leather seems to be good quality. I wish I would have hung on to our 2004 Mountaineer V8 AWD which was much more roomy and versatile. We thought that we might save a little in gas money since it only got about 11 to 12 Mpg around town, but the Sorento is only getting about 16, so the savings was not worth taking on a new car loan.
Great travelling vehicle
Pros: The interior space.
Cons: No dip stick on transmission- I like to check fluids...We have been with KIA for a few years, and this is the forth car. (Sedona, Sportage, Rondo, now 2011 Sorento). Very pleased with the ride and big car feel, handling and MPG. But, as always, the warranty rules, especially if you have a great dealer with a great service department. The safety rating is a plus, which we hope never to test!!! Overall quality is great, and I'm pleased that it was built in the US with a majority of US made parts.
EX V6 vs '06 RAV4 V6
Pros: NAV system w/rear camera, hands free/voice activated blue tooth.
Cons: MPGI presently own a 06 RAV4 Limited w/ V6, 3rd row seat. I just purchased a 2011 Sorento EX V6 AWD.For just $2K more than I paid for the RAV four years ago,I have leather int, NAV w/ backup camera, Bluetooth, chrome 18”wheels, 6 spd auto, better speed display, rear door goes up not sideways, little more room inside. But, a LOT more performance from RAV,better handling, easier to drive around due to smaller size. Also better mpg. The EX so far w/900 miles, 16.5, 17.5 (18.5 mostly hwy going 70-80 mph.) The ride is softer in the EX not as truck like in the RAV. 3rd row seats easier to get into and little more space. My wife LOVES the EX luxurious int and ext.I like the performance of the RAV.
Best SUV in its class!!!!
Pros: Push Start!
Cons: There is no way to listen to the radio once you turn the engine off?Wow! Luxury package at an economical price! The Navigation system is very acurate! If your in SoCal I recommend the Santa Ana Kia dealership, GREAT customer service!!!!!
Suprized Power & Fun.
Cons: sometime jiggly ride. After owning 12 cars so far this is the best one I have owned. 0 Defects now after 3 years and 23K of ownership. Recommended by my brother, shopped GM, Honda and Kia. Power and ease of 4x4 operation along with features and looks, build quality cemented my purchase decision. I am now a Senior Citizen and former Automotive Fleet Manager. Bang for the Buck is the BEST.
Pros: The ride, the comfort, the power, the look!!!!
Cons: Absolutely Nothing!!!
Advice: Just Buy! Everything else is Junky and Ugly!! PS- Some Stink too - like Acura MDX's!!!I Loooove My Kia Sorento!!! The BEST car ive ever had & ive had a lot - Just traded my BMW 328!!!... Thats all I can say!!!!! The comfort, styling, everything - I know hands-down I made the right choice!!!... I Love My Sorento!!!
Pros: Seat warmers
Cons: Um, can't think of anything
Advice: Get all the options, you will be happy you did and don't forget the tow package.Absolutely love it! I bought this car yesterday and can't wait to get off work to drive it. It is the first time I am so unpset I live so close to work...lol. What a wonderful ride and family vehicle with a great price. Buy the EX with all the options. The seat warmers are fantastic. Cars will never be the same.
