2011 Kia Sorento Beefs Up With More Power, Better MPGs
After a one-year absence, the Kia Sorento returns for 2011 as a wholly more competitive vehicle. Plenty of updates result in a vehicle that is more powerful, fuel-efficient and family-friendly than ever before. Learn what's new on the 2011 Kia Sorento and review specs, features and mpgs.
What's New - 2011 Kia Sorento
The 2011 Sorento has been completely redesigned. Major changes include a switch from a truck chassis to car-like unibody chassis, new engine options and the availability of third-row seating. Thanks to the new chassis, the vehicle's on-road manners are much improved and should jive well with the typical suburban SUV driver.
Styling - New 2011 Kia Sorento
The Sorento exudes a confident stance and slightly aggressive styling slant. However, the vehicle is far from polarizing and for the most part offers a familiar SUV silhouette. For those who are interested in a vehicle that is mostly conservative, yet boasts slight bold undertones, the Sorento is likely to please in the category of aesthetics.
Inside, most reviewers praise the Sorento for its level of interior quality. Though the Kia Sorento undercuts much of the competition in terms of price, comfort and interior materials are on par with class leaders. With the available third-row seat, the Sorento seats up to seven. Keep in mind, however, that the third-row seat is a bit on the small side. With a maximum of 72.5 cubic feet of storage space, cargo room is class competitive.
