Potential minivan buyers aren't likely to forget the 2015 Kia Sedona once they see it, but they might not remember it's a minivan once they get behind the wheel. That's because the 2015 Kia Sedona finally welcomes a full design makeover from Peter Schreyer and friends, complete with an aggressive, SUV-like appearance and superior driving dynamics. And needless to say, all that is on full display during the first ad effort for the 2015 Kia Sedona.

The spot is called "Race Track" and features the 2015 Kia Sedona in exactly that environment, with a stunt driver at the wheel, three racing-suited passengers along for the ride and a tag line that reminds folks: "It's not a sports car. It's a Sedona." The point being, of course, that it can be hard to tell the two apart when Kia's minivan carves up the tarmac while providing standard features like a 276-hp V6, a rear spoiler, 17-inch alloy wheels, silver-finished roof rails and LED turn-signal indicators.

Of course, the 2015 Kia Sedona still provides the kind of practicality, versatility and infotainment technologies—highlighted by the next-gen UVO telematics system and standard Bluetooth capability—that one expects from a modern-day minivan.

Explained Tim Chaney, vice president of marketing communications for Kia Motors America: “The element of desire was a major theme in the design and engineering of the all-new Sedona, and our campaign was conceived to signal that something different is going on at Kia. Sedona brings new levels of style and sophistication to a bland and predictable segment for the growing number of people who do not want to be confined by the conventional design limitations of the category."

Visitors to www.kia.com/sedona can see the initial video for the 2015 Kia Sedona right now, with more to follow, and the redesigned vehicle itself is expected to go on sale before the end of this month.
