Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
I am extremely pleased with this car. It fits more items than my 2011 Prius and yet it is smaller outside! It has a better back up camera and navigation system too! All for a much lower cost. Also, my fuel economy has exceeded the 40 mpg. hwy. and 30 mpg. city and come very close to my hybrid Prius. Everything is high quality and the car looks and drives great. The price is right and I like the sunroof, the cruise control, the steering wheel controls, and the quality leather seats.
Bought this car just over 4 days ago and have driven it over 1,400 miles. It has exceeded my expectations in every way, especially in fuel economy. My average fuel consumption has been just under 45 miles per gallon. Outstanding. The ride is smooth. The steering is tight. The power is plentiful. There is plenty of room inside and the steering wheel and seats adjust nicely. The navigation system is so much better than the one in my 2011 Toyota Prius. So are the leather seats. Try one.
Pros: Look of vehicle, get power option. We did.
Cons: nothing really so far
Advice: Comparable to a honda civic I owned in college, but better priced.I just purchased this vehicle over the weekend, put about 500 miles on it already. Looks great, city mpg was 27.5 not 29 as advertised. I am hoping it will be in the 30's on the highway, sticker states 38mpg but do not expect to see it. Overall a great car, gas mileage is good but not as good as advertised. Great warranty, the company must have alot of faith in their product to stand behind it the way they do.
Pros: Function, the Rio5 does everything it was designed to do and then some.
Cons: Having to convince everybody that it is a great car.
Advice: Drive it,then make your decision. The Rio5 is a great 'need' car as opposed to a 'want' car. If you need a nice little car to get u around and don't have a big ego or family, then do yourself a favor and at least check it out. Its very roomy in the front seats, the backseats go down (flat) to give ample room for 'things' And one last thing the Rio5 has a tight feel to it, that makes it very responsive. Its just a nice little car for someone who wants a nice little car. It also comes with a lot of Kia Motors built in perks. It wont hurt you to take a look.
