Best vehicle I have spent time in.
Pros: Overall feeling of quality
Cons: I could go for more supportive seatsMy Optima EX fully loaded has been a complete satisfaction. After 3 years it still gives me that 'new' feel when I drive it. It does not do any one thing exceptionally but does everything well. The quality and reliability has been better than any Honda or Toyota I have had. After driving many rentals from various brands I thoroughly enjoy getting back in my Optima. Again, the long term quality stands out. I have no desire to upgrade after 3 years...this has never been the case with any other vehicle I have had. It is not the highest performer out there but it performs well with total smoothness.
Pros: Has a lot of room
Cons: Not enough pickup when the air conditioner is runningGood car but doesn't hold it's value like other cars. Paid $17,000 three years ago and now it is only worth $7,000.........not a good value in my opinion. Other cars hold their value longer.
Cons: Lack of Direct Port InjectionThis vehicle is similar to a camry, accord and altima. It costs half the price after rewbates and discounts. It has a 5/60 bbwarranty and a 10/100 powertrainwarranty. It does everything very well. It is an impressiveve vehicle for the safety, fuel efficiency, looks, performance and reliability. I paid 12995.00 after all discounts plus tax title and doc fees.
Pros: Good looks great mileage good handling
Cons: nothing I can think of
Advice: if you want mileage get a 4cly good power good mileageKia out handled Toyoto and Honda, better looks, more power nicer everything about it 4cly get excellent mileage a lot bettet the Cambrays with 4 cly eng woulnt trade it for two Honda or Toyotos if they payed me big bucks difference
Advice: naWOW. We spent days looking at cars from the chevy aveo to the kia optima. And the optima is by far the nicest car we test drove. It had the most leg room, sportiest look, nicest interior, and one of the best price tags. We got it on a lost leader deal for $12000. Well worth it. This car doesn't compare to anything else we drove. Would definately recomend.
Pros: Attention to detail.
Cons: The glass chips seems to chip often.
Advice: Get the appearance package. The ride is very smooth and has nice handling. Gas is great. The entire belly has a thick undercoat. They even sprayed the the suspension. The rocker panel panels are plastic (no rust to worry about). It has gas struts for the hood. Great attention to details! I get the feeling this car was built to last! I I drove the Camry and Accord. The Accord had the best brakes. The Optima had better quality materials inside. I would recommend the appearance package for what it adds.
Pros: Automatic Transmission - Allows you to shift manually. The warranty is 100,000 miles
Cons: Paint job is less than desireable. The hood has paint chips and it is very obvious how thin the paint is. The rubber molding is not trimmed very well in the trunk not sure about long time wear and tear.
Advice: The V6 performs much better than the 4 cylinder. You may lose a little gas mileage.Great power, handles nicely and is very comfortable. Fun to drive
