2014 Jeep Compass 4x4 Limited Test Drive & Compact Crossover SUV Video Review
The Jeep Compass is a compact sport utility vehicle that was introduced in 2007, and the 2014 model year Compass offers some very welcome updates, as well as a more car-like driving experience than other models in the Jeep portfolio. Though the 2014 Jeep Compass was designed primarily for road use, it’s still a rather competent vehicle for off-road adventuring, especially amongst its competition in the compact SUV category. It is available in three different trim levels, the Sport, the Latitude, and the Limited, each of which was designed to appeal to different buyers. The Sport and Limited models of the 2014 Jeep Compass are powered by a 2-liter 4-cylinder engine, and both of these trim levels offers additional features. This Autobytel video review, however, focuses on the Jeep Compass Limited, the most upscale of the three available trim levels. This version of the 2014 Compass comes equipped with a 2.4-liter engine that yields 172 horsepower. A six-speed automatic transmission replaces the CVT gearbox from the previous model year. Daniel Gray, a road test editor with Autobytel, describes the Jeep Compass Limited driving experience in this video review. You’ll also get a look at the cabin of the 2014 Compass Limited, which features a leather-wrapped steering wheel with integrated audio controls, high quality leather upholstery, and a full suite of high end electronics.
