Overland (Commander) is the best of the best
Pros: Too many to list, the built in garage door openerLooked for my Jeep for over 3-1/2 years, finally found it Red Rock Red, suede and leather seats, too many extras to mention. Have not seen another like it anywhere in the Bay Area. I love it. This is my second Jeep. The last one was a Grand Cherokee Limited and it was beautiful as well, but my commander is the best.
Pros: Beautiful interior with with 4x4 when needed to see interesting destinations.
Cons: Third seat takes up cargo room even when folded.
Advice: Get a V8With the standard features of the Overland, one has a luxury sedan interior with the security and off-road ability of a Jeep. Engineered with a solid, quality feel, the Commander is an American Land Rover with a great price. Finally, its HEMI engine is on the Top 10 list in the world.
Pros: Heated seats
Cons: gas mileage
Advice: Do not buy it!! You could end up with one with an unresolveable defect. Donot take that chance. This car has a smooth ride, but has problems staying running in the heat. Owning this car has been a nightmare for me. I am currently in Lemon law litigation regarding this vehicle because it has a problem with the idle and emmisions settings. The truck stops when it gets too hot and the dealership has not been able to resolve the problem. I traded my Honda Pilot for this piece of garbage and i deeply regret it. A beautiful vehicle with not must else to offer!!! Would not recommmend to any body.
Cons: Navigation system
Advice: Shop aroundIt drives nice, but the quality of the interior functions is not very good. The air conditioning is constantly on the fritz, there is a whistling sound on the driver's side that the dealer is mystified about, the navigation system is terribly difficult to use compared to other manufacturers (no push-button screens, you have to scroll through the alphabet, etc.) and is not dependable to bring you to the right place (wrong side of the street two blocks away from destination).
