Cons: GoodYear tires (Get rid of them quick)
Advice: Try to get the dealer to fork over better tires.Keep it in 'sport' mode. 'Comfort' seems to be for those lazy empty highway drives. The GoodYear Integrity tires are not matched properly to this vehicle. They squeal at low cornering speeds and at acceleration. Replace them as soon as possible.
Pros: panel display lets me know who many miles I have before I run out of gas
Cons: cd player is cheaply made
Advice: if you like the Rodeo you will love the AXIOMI purchased the 2004 Isuzu Axiom a few weeks ago. I traded in my Rodeo for it. I like the Axiom because it has room enough for my family. My kids are tall and my spouse is tall. I love this SUV because it is just the right size for me. I recommend it.
Pros: Info Display pannel and high horse power.
Cons: No automatic head lights. No daytime running lights.
Advice: TRy it, you will love it!Good: The Axiom is an excellent choice for the smaller SUVs. The direct inject, 250 HP engine makes the Axiom accelerate like a sports car. No more waiting at the ramp to merge with a fast traffic stream, no more worring about accelerating up a hill, no more worries about anything connected to low horse power or acceleration. The electric seats are heated and confortable. Back seat is easily folded dowen to handle big payloads. The remote transmitter is build into the key or vice versa and is impossible to lose without losing the entire key. Electric roof operates flawlessly and is a good feature. Display info pannel is great. I did not purchase the On-Sat system. Bad: The lights are not automatic. I would think automatic lights would be a standard item. I must remind myself to go back and cut the light off at night. I cannot find the rear window washer fluid - if it has a washer/squiter. No trailer hitch ncluded as a standard option. And last, the passenger seat does not have a lumbar support.
Pros: LOTS OF EXTRAS INCLUDED WITH BASE PRICE
Cons: A LITTLE BOUNCY IN REGULAR DRIVE MODE
Advice: OVERALL, VERY SATISFIED. BETTER THAN MAZDA TRIBUTE AND FORD ESCAPEV-6 ENGINE IS VERY RESPONSIVE. IT RAN MUCH SMOOTHER IN SPORT MODE THAN IN REGULAR MODE. CONTROL PANEL IS VERY EASY TO READ AND HAS A LOT OF BELLS AND WHISTLES. THIS TRUCK MAY BE UNCOMFORTABLE FOR A DRIVER OVER 6 FEET TALL.
Pros: Torque on demend
Advice: shop around little moreThe car handles realy bad. In regular mode, this car acts like a boat floating on the water. Specially bad on corners. Over the bumps this car imposible to control, it jumps off road, seems like. The only way get a half decent ride is to engage the sport mode at all times. And then it seems like driving real truck.
Pros: Torque on Demand
Cons: The placement of the CD changer
Advice: If you are shopping for a SUV of any make take a GOOD look at the AxiomI was very surprised with the handling and ride. This SUV rides like a car and handles every bump in the road. When driving on the curviest of roads it takes the curves and I do not feel any of the SUV roll. The low step in high is wonderful, my wife and kids have no trouble getting in and out.
Pros: External and Internal Appearance
Cons: The suspension with passengers or cargo
Advice: Think this one through.Be sure to test drive this vhicle in driving conditions similar to your normal pattern. Any extra weight in the rear, such as passengers will give you a less tha acceptable ride. There are two suspension modes, 'spot' and 'normal'. Sport is very Rigid. Normal is very 'Bouncy'
