    2005 Infiniti QX56 - 4x4

Pros: My screaming children back in the third row sounded like they were a quarter mile away

    Cons: Gas mileage, hard seats

Advice: Got 3+ kids? Buy it. Load it up. Love it.

My first thought apon sitting in the drivers seat was 'How the heck did I get up here?!'. The standard integrated running board and helpfull interior handles make this behemouth of a vehicle a surprising snap to get into. The surprises never stopped. While the ride was a little rough on uneven back roads, and hitting a pothole that my Audi A8 would have floated over was a little more jaring than expected, the ride was truly exceptional for a truck this large. The cornering and braking were particularly superior compared to vehicles such as the Navigator and the Escalade. On the highway, the accleration and ride were so smooth and quiet that it was hard to believe I was driving a truck at all. The interior is classy and understated, though a tad spartan. The 3rd row seat has enough leg room that even intrepid adults can sit back there, but it still leaves plenty of space behind it for cargo. The number of niceties that improve the comfort, safety and convenience of this vehicle are impressive.

    2005 Infiniti QX56 - 4x2

    Pros: Outside appearance

    Cons: Quality

    Advice: Look at Toyota/Lexus instead

BEWARE of brake issues! I have had mine replaced at 2500 and 5200 miles. Tires vibrate and a lot of wind noise, rattles and poor quality. Interior trim has fallen off twice on door. Not worth the money!

    2003 Infiniti FX45 - Base

    Pros: Looks and 4wd availability

Cons: Seat a tad small for my large frame

Advice: If you like it when you see it, you'll love it when you own it.

I saw a bad review where the guy complained about the ride and looks and I have to respond. Duh, if you drove it and looked at it you got what you saw. It's a great SUV for someone who simply needs some room and 4wd but want something larger than a sedan and as sporty as most sports cars. The 20' rides a little rough, but no worse than SUV's I've owned. It is quickand 'unique' looking. You either love it or hate it. I love it and don't really buy cars based on what my friends like. Most of them are in Kia's anyway, what do they know.

    2004 Infiniti QX56 - 4x4

    Pros: automatic rear hatch opener

Cons: seat heaters that don't warm up, and all the rattles

Advice: Looks are decieving, and so is Infiniti's warranty, customer service claims. Its bad news.

I have owned this vehicle since October 2004. I have only been able to put 500 miles on it, because I have been fighting with Infiniti to fix the rattles, leaks, broken seat, and non-functioning dvd since I recieved the car. They have now had it in their shop for over 4 weeks, leaving me with nothing!!!!!!!!It took 3 months to get them to even address that. This is my first and last experience with Infiniti. How they continue to sell cars is what I'd love to know.

    2004 Infiniti QX56 - 4x4

    Pros: visual

    Cons: vibration

    Advice: test drive

Traded an Escalade for the '04 Infiniti QX56, and wish I hadn't! Love the visual, but have had the brake pads and/or rotors replaced 4 times within 3 months! Too many squeaks to mention, and tired of Infiniti's Customer Service Representatives! The Dealership has worked to correct problems, but I have been informed by Infiniti CSR that the corrected brake pads will not be in until later this month or possibly next month! I am tired of driving loaner cars, just need to make payments on them! Too nice of a SUV (QX56) to encounter such problems over and over again!

    2004 Infiniti QX56 - 4x4

    Pros: Power

Cons: No lights on steering wheel controls

Advice: Hope the 2005's are better

I bought this vehicle about 10 months ago, and now have 22000 miles on it. Yes, we drive a lot. I love to dirve this thing on the highway...it is a dream. In town and on rough roads though it is pretty stiff. My biggest complaint is with the build quality, and the numerous problems I have had with it. It has been in the shop for repairs at least 6 or 8 times, and will have to go back again soon. They have replaced brakes, worked on squeaks and rattles 4 times, added extra bracket on DVD player to keep it from shaking, replace satellite reciever, and now I have a air bag light that won't go off. When will it end?

    2004 Infiniti QX56 - 4x4

    Pros: Back up monitor

Cons: The gas mileage is only 12-13 average

Advice: Check for rattles and creakes before you buy that model.

The vehicle is very classy looking and rides great. I am very impressed with the technology and love the Nav and Smart vision features. I have the fully loaded all options model and loved it since day 1. The only negative I have is the few rattles and creakes that existed upon purchase. The dealer has been great and is doing everything to fix the issues.
